If Grubb could get it through his thick skull that he's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is, I think he might actually still be pretty smart. But he calls plays like he thinks he's Mycroft fricking Holmes, when I just need him to be Columbo.

Let's see how well his excuses flow with South Carolina and Georgia coming up. Florida State is no Georgia that's for sure. Being down almost 20 points at halftime with Georgia is a bonafide loss.

His offense put up 567 yards and 50 points. I don't mind at all him making a dig at boo birds for booing in the first half, especially considering that it was our defense that put us in the first half hole.

Wow this reminds me of last season when we beat Texas and our coaching staff talked a bunch of shite to fans.

Alabama fans are dumb.
It's Pete Golding all over again. Don't understand much about the game and what goes on. Don't look at what they have to work with, don't look at what the players did on the plays, etc.
Just determined to bitch about a coordinator and make them the scapegoat for everything. Even the week after our offense is what literally saved our asses in the game.
Good thing I'm banned from that board.

Ironic that there are basically crickets when it comes to Womack consistently throwing 3rd down blitzes at FSU late into the 2nd Qtr when it was obvious Norvell had an almost perfect game plan for them.

I thought our offense did a good job and I am hoping this running game keeps trucking all season.
I saw a good bit of what I expected from DeBoer/Grubb with all the pulls and so forth. Some of them were beautifully executed. Basically waited 3 years for this.
KR is a RS freshman with 3 starts now. He's gotten better with his decisions every game.
I don't get the complaints. As if we never had bad games offensively under Saban or something. I can remember many struggle wins, and some losses like 44-16, despite have a future 1st round draft pick at QB and Kiffin/Sark both on staff for that team until Kiffin got fired.
I hope it keeps up. Each week thus far has seemed like a bigger test.

Neither Sark nor Kiffin was on staff when Clemson took Bama to the woodshed. That was following the 2018 season and Mike Locksley was OC. You are thinking of the CFP final following the 2016 season when Bama should have won the game but Deshaun Watson hit Hunter Renfrow on a pick play with .01 second left.

Defense as a whole played to aggressive at times. Tackling was poor at times. Most of the damage though came off one matchup. Lee struggled covering probably the best player on offense that FSU had. I forget his name but he roasted Lee several times. The defense was disappointing but still managed to get the job done with some turnovers and pressure on the QB.

I always picture Locksley deciding on the drapes for his Maryland HC office while a report on Venables sign stealing scheme is sitting on his desk.
