That means somebody gets a bye in the playoff. I say 16 and NO BYES. The field will shake out in the first round and the pretenders get sent home.

Having a 16 team playoff with NO BYES solves this problem. The "committee" shite the bed again. Then the pretenders get weeded out in the first round.
