Aside from kicking our arse in Norman last month, they played an absolute brutal schedule with a shite ton of injuries and a number of opt outs and portal transfers. While they finished 6-7 on the year I feel like they are a better team than a lot of pundits are giving them credit for. They played and lost to:
Texas (11-2)
Navy (10-3)
Tennessee (10-3)
Missouri (9-3)
Ole Miss (9-3)
South Carolina (9-3)
LSU (8-4)
You're going to get shite on because Alabama lost to you by three touchdowns but take heed and believe you are a better team than most people give you credit for. You played an absolutely brutal schedule.

This thread wouldn't exist if Alabama had beaten them.
Nobody thinks Oklahoma is good. Nobody.

This is true

Not sure that's really true
You can both play a tough schedule with injuries and not be that good. It isn't like they lost a bunch of close games.
- 31 pt loss Texas
- 26 pt loss South Carolina
- 20 pt loss LSU
- 12 pt loss Ole Miss
- 10 pt loss Tennessee
5 of their 7 losses were by double digits. They were basically a vintage Mike Shula football team.

On the other side, Sooners beat two 9-win teams.

Oklahoma is actually rated #32 in F+ this year.
They have a highly rated defense, but their offense is considered to be below average. And not just like below average for top teams, like below average for all of FBS college football.
Top15 defense though.

I’m amazed we won 6 with no wrs. A rattled young qb. Weak oline. TEs who can’t block. A horrible OC who was fired replaced by a horrible TE coach who had his TE throw an INT.
That mostly sums up the year. D is stout. O has the top portal QB in. New OC in. Portal wrs in. We sucked this year but were in all our games but 2. And thats with no offense.
We’ll be better but face the same schedule next year.

Let me stop you there, dog.
They suck. They stink on ice. And Bama completely shite the bed by not beating them. Which means Bama stinks worse. That's all there is to it.

Talk about Stockholm syndrome.
Bama gets arse abused by OU and bama fans, victims, develop a bond with their abuser.

Honest question. What do you think the records are if Texas and OU flipped schedules?

No, you just don't talk shite to a team who ran your arse off the field. Something you LSU fans (yes, you, Monsista) don't understand.

Oklahoma would be 8-4 to 10-2 in any other conferences than the SEC or Big 10. If they were still in the Big 12, they very well might be where Arizona State is currently.

@ Texas A&M - loss
6-6 (3-5)

During the game broadcast, Mowens stated Navy was playing the same team that beat Alabama.
Well Beth, the uni's were the same but the team Navy played in December was a shadow of the one to step onto the field against bama in November.

Shula didn’t lose by double digits at that high of a clip.
