He wasn't winning anymore here. Have people forgotten that?

Ask Cal how many SEC championships he’s won. He’ll give you the number of regular season championships, not the tournament.

Same for every school.

He became stale and both sides needed a change

It hasn't gone unnoticed how Kentucky isn't winning with out him while he is winning at Arkansas.

Both are true. He sucked in March the last few years there and they ran him off. Then Kentucky fricked up the search and hired a mediocre coach because of some gif of him doing the K-A-T-Z chant.

He took a pay cut to come here.

Something about he'd "crawl here'.

Nice tip of the hat to the older Arkansas fans that remember that Eddie Sutton said that. Well played, sir, well played

Are we pretending we don’t have terribly dissimilar records at this point?

Are we pretending Kentucky wasn't done and at home before Arkansas played their first game this week?

We played a hot Florida team. It happens. Just pointing out we’ve had very similar records the two years. I don’t see that as huge advantage for either.

Congrats on the tourney win.

He went 23-10 his last year at Kentucky.

You haven't improved at all since he left.

It hasn't gone unnoticed who won the head to head this year.

You're not very good at this stuff. Not my fault, get better.

Cal hadn’t been out of the first weekend in over 5 seasons at Kentucky when Pope made the Sweet 16 last season.

It’s ok to understand Kentucky has standards and Cal wasn’t producing in Lexington anymore. Good for him that he was able to get a fresh start. But pretending Kentucky shouldn’t have wanted him out is silly. And honestly weird that you can’t enjoy your own team without it connected to what Kentucky is doing. Pope will be gone after next season if he can’t produce either.

Y’all need to make up your mind on whether Kentucky should have “Blue Blood” standards or not.

Arkansas wins a sec tourney and several threads about Kentucky pop up. I'm shocked I tell you shocked.

We haven’t lost to St Peter’s or Oakland since he left. He had super talented teams and lost to them. We hadn’t won two SEC tournament games since 2018, till this year.

Maybe leaving recharged his batteries. Good. But he wasn’t getting it done here when it counted.

Cal didn’t get UK to the sweet 16 again after 2019. Pope did his first year.

Pope may not be the answer. He is flawed. But he has done some things that Cal didn’t do his last five years. And don’t bet UK will put up with mediocre coaches for long.

Calipari was dogshit from 2019 onward, we don't miss him, and we continue to thank Arkansas for giving us an out to fire him for violating his contract and getting $0 buyout

If they're happy with him, great. We don't fricking want him. Mitch making a jackass hire to replace him is an entirely separate issue.

Get the frick over it already. We. Don't. Care.
