Good for you! But jobs are not easy to find there. That is why it is not a big city where people will move there. I am sure I would love to live area like that but got to make a living to pay bills. Not just pack and move there and start looking for a job. I know it is best to keep it secrete so it does not get too big and become just another so and so city. Boulder, CO is another city I really like and have visited there. Provo Utah is my other city I really like because if the lifestyle people chose and very good people there. Key is healthy lifestyles, fitness, low crimes, and culture.

That was way before the medical pot legalize! The idea was the healthy lifestyles which I am looking into. Now a days it is hard to find that. Provo is a good one. I have visited. I hope people see the difference between healthy lifestyles and poorly lifestyles like I have been so far the past 30 years! I hope some day I will get the place for people who wants healthy lifestyles that will make it happier and cleaner and live longer as well. St. Louis is not good one to chose unless you live way out West of Saint Louis County. Just not the same because people choose what ever they want to do with their life and bring in problems to an area. That is the danger of any small city like the OP pointed out.

Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville are all on the list. Hell even Memphis made it in at 93.

Provo sucks. The city itself has absolutely nothing to do.

St. Louis is not good one

Cape Girardeau is a fine little town. Roughly 90 minutes south of Saint Louis. That place is great for healthy lifestyles. The rolling hills make for great jogs and bike rides and they have some hiking trails at that Game and Fish park. My brother lives there and I always find it impressive to see how active that community is.

No one is mad at ya'll. On here, most of y'all are akin to a mosquito.

Fayetteville is beautiful though. Best college town in the sec in my opinion.

What are you talking about?? Unemployment is 2.9% and wages are going up in nearly every sector. Now the area still only has 500,000 people or so, you can’t move here with some esoteric degree and expect to just find a job. If you have a PhD in microfluidics or something I hope you plan a little better than that and move where you get a job instead of move to get a job.

These ratings are made for “the average married couple looking to move” audience. The things that make this area attractive to young white or Hispanic married couples are not the same things that 18 year old single black men look for in a town where they are only going to live 3-4 years which effects recruiting. Our single biggest issue remains that there is simply distance problem and current demographics.

I'm not mad at Arkansas; I really never think about them unless Bama is playing them in some sport.

Mad at Arkansas? Hell, I don't think enough about them to be mad at them. Indifferent is the word that comes to mind.

Yeah, I'm going to have to call bullshite on this.

The medical sector is booming, with a brand new Children's Hospital in Springdale and three other hospitals undergoing large expansions.

JB Hunt just built another office tower last year and just broke ground on a 150,000 sq ft office tower for their technology people.

Tyson Foods bought Hillshire Brands a couple of years ago and have added lots of positions here.

Walmart has laid off some folks, but the rumor is they are going to put a second HQ of Jet.com somewhere in NWA (since they own it) and gradually bring more of the Walmart.com folks home.

There's a major university here, too.

Jobs are easy to find here, if you are minimally qualified.

Arkansas is the fatass cousin who’s never accomplished anything, but swears he’s a black belt and believes others are intimidated by him.

Ole Miss is the same thing wearing a polo instead of a gi.
