They ranked 62nd in ppg in 2019 and 37th in 2020. Not exactly setting the world on fire.

He's had A&M as a Top 20ish offense since he came in and his FSU team in 2014 held the scoring record until LSU topped it in 2019. Clearly he has no idea what he is doing.

While some polls are fodder but I don't dismiss them just because I don't like the rankings of my teams. Go back look at AP and ESPN with unbiased lenses this century. They are not off by much slotting teams in the Top 15. Sure you have overrated teams but it will always be some. Even 2019 LSU was #6-8 Preseason it wasn't like they came out of nowhere.
Auburn 2010 is the only team this century to win a National championship ranked outside Top 15 to start the season.

Those numbers don’t tell the whole story. A&M’s offense shortens the game with long sustained drives. Fewer opportunities for both teams to score. It helps the raw numbers for defense and hurts the offense. But look at them at a more advanced way or even just on a per drive way, it balances it out.

That AA Olineman you speak of sure got his CHU handed to him multiple times by a defense that was comprised of backups and walkons in the spring game. That transfer from UT started 5 games in '20 and and 1 game in '19. Your superfast QB was running for his life the whole game the other saturday. No concerns that the starting offense didn't get into the endzone till mid way of the fourth quarter? That was going against a defense of backups and walkons.

There isn't a single A&M fan over the age of 18 who would say last year's team was our best in the last 50 years and LSU has clearly had far worse teams in the last 50.
