I don’t like any of you, but this scenario would make faces melt so I’m here for it.

UT beats Georgia.

Georgia wins out from there, so does UT and Bama

Bama beats UT in Atlanta

All 3 are 11-1/12-1

Georgia is the defending champ and has 1 loss to a top 5 team…they are in

Bama has one loss, which it avenged and SEC title…they are in

Tennessee has 1 loss, to a top 5 team it already beat and a great resume….they are in

3 SEC teams in a 4 team playoff would cause the greatest Jimmy rustling of our time.

It will never happen because it will destroy college football playoff.

Nope.

11-1 vs UT at 12-1 with UT having the head to head. UT's ahead of UGA in the pecking order if that happens.

No chance they put 3 SEC teams in the playoff.

If repeated attempts to prevent an All-SEC title game continue to fail, at what point does the national media admit that the SEC is superior?

They got rid of the BCS after Bama/LSU in 2011 to come up with the playoff. We've already had all-SEC title games in the playoff so now they're expanding the playoffs. I have zero doubt that even in the expanded format, we're still going to see LSU, Bama, and Georgia (and maybe Auburn and Florida if they can ever get their shite together) in the title games going forward.

There is definitely a chance.

It really just requires what I laid out and Clemson dropping a game

There really isn't.

You'd basically need a scenario where only 1 other conference champion has 1 loss or less for this to occur.

Here is a better one:

UT beats GA, then wins the rest until a loss in SECCG, GA wins the rest, Ole Miss wins out, LSU wins out.

LSU 11-2, SEC Champs
UT 12-1
GA 11-1
Ole Miss 11-1

I think the only one in will be the winner of the SEC. The national media will do everything in their power to have it this way.
TCU
Michigan/Ohio State winner
SEC winner
Clemson?

The best 4 teams in the country are UGA, UT, Bama and Ohio State, and they should be the 4 teams in CFP.

Right now the way things are playing out the SEC will get one slot. tOSU, Clemson, and TCU are undefeated...

If you want to make faces melt try this.

LSU beats Bama and wins out to Atlanta with two losses

LSU beats an undefeated UGA/UT in SECCG.

The 3 non P5 Undefeated conf champions make the CFP with 2 loss LSU... hahahahaha

Not expecting it but boy would that shite the SEC nest...

I know it tickles a lot of taints on this board to think about getting 3 SEC teams in the playoffs, but it really wouldn't be good for the sport. CFB is best with national appeal, imo.

TCU, along with that whole conference, is an absolute joke. They should lose to Texas though. Hopefully the Cocks deal with Clemson.

It’s beyond obvious that the 4 best teams in the country consist of Tennessee, UGA, the winner of tOSU/Michigan and the winner of Bama/LSU (before you call me a homer I don’t expect to win).

ETA: you know what, #4 is just whomever wins the West. So OM is still in contention.

Nope, it would be Bama and UTk competing for the rubber match in the CFPs with Uga in a NY6 bowl.

Maybe if it were at Knoxville with an injury to Stetson or controversial call affecting the outcome in a closely contested game, but even then, 3 SEC teams would cost millions in viewership with one of the contestants having played 1 team twice and the other once on the road.

I’m just really gonna need TCU to drop a game, because they would so clearly be a live sacrifice a la OU(twice), Washington, ND, Michigan State, Cincy etc.

Clemson just needs to lose.

Bama and UT are locks in that scenario then UGA has to come in ahead of 1 loss Michigan/Ohio St and TCU. UGA is defending champ
