I don't blame you for not blaming Georgia on the Fields situation

It is bullshite. The kid just wanted clean playing time to show off his skills and he got it. Good for him.

did you follow along even casually when this was happening? It was a major news story (made up BS, btw).
In a game in october one white guy in the stands used the n word (asking for fields to go IN the game mind you!) and a minority female overheard and tweeted about it and media outlets ran with it. Then when fields realized he wasn't going to start he used racism as an excuse to gain immediate eligibiltiy and not sit out a year.

A real isolated incident did happen, but there is no evidence Fields or his lawyer labeled uga as a racist institution because of that one idiot. That’s just a load is BS.

How did he get his waiver then?
And I think it's total BS since his sister is playing there now. That was the card he used for the waiver by all accounts.

Maybe I'm taking too big of a leap. All I konw is, there have to be a VERY extinuating set of circumstances to allow you go get a waiver and not sit out, and "not happy with my playign time" isn't one of htem. I can't fathom any other reason why fields would have been given immediate eligibiltiy other than trying to play up a racism angle. HEll, Luke Ford wanted to transfer to his home state to be with a dying relative and his waiver was denied, but fields can transfer to ohio with no problems? They obviously played up SOME angle, and the racism one is the only one that really seems apparent.

Hey Rex. You owe me a house.

I imagine his lawyer, in a private meeting, pointed out that an isolated incident occurred involving his client.

Tate Martell got a waiver, too, for...??? reasons.
I don't think you can accurately predict why or why not the NCAA does things at times.

Exactly! I doubt Fields even had a part in it other than hiring the lawyer who pointed that out.
I'll post part of Fields' statement to UGA after he transferred, the most relevant part. I will bold the most relevant part.

Now that this matter is concluded, I would like to clarify some facts. I have no regrets about my time at UGA and have no hard feelings for the school or football program. My overall experience at UGA was fully consistent with UGA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. My sister is a softball player at UGA. I am still close friends with many of my UGA teammates. A part of me will always be a Georgia Bulldogs fan…
Fields never accused UGA of being a racist institution. He hired a lawyer who might have mentioned the unfortunate incident in the process of trying to get him a waiver.
Fromm lovers and some UGA fans push the BS narrative that Fields dragged UGA's name through the mud and accused them of racism, as a reason to hate on the kid for leaving. He did what any young man would do, what's in his best interest.

I believe Martell's was based on Meyer's suspension and retirement.

Justin Fields never said a single public word about racism. The Fields lawyer said that racism wasn't the reason that a transfer was requested and granted with immediate eligibility.
Somebody, maybe the lawyer or Fields' dad, did say something about racism to dirtbag USA Today sportswriter.

So he said the exact opposite of what that bama fan claimed? Not shocked

If I'm not mistaken it was that along with the Zach Smith stuff? It was weird that it was approved, but at this point, it's more interesting to see what the NCAA is willing to turn down waivers for... you know like mothers with cancer.

I find it amazing that GA fans don't know the true story!
And that the rest of you think, AFTER, the Fields was granted his waiver, you are surprised that they all shut up about it.
My gosh, any of you think you the landing on the moon was scripted in Hollywood?

why would people make fun of your daughter playing softb
When I mentioned that my daughter played softball, and a few LSU posters called her a lesbo. I reminded them that if every girl that plays softball is a lesbo, as they say, then every girl on the LSU softball team is too!
