Was ist das? Wir hatten gestern bereits eine Diskussion zu diesem Thema

I don’t think anyone seriously thinks she is better than Pete.
But some people appear to be going to their grave with this troll attempt.
No one is actually serious about her achievement outside the women’s game.

That's just a fricking lie. Look up Pearl Monroe. 3884 points.

She made more shots in less years and his mark is a men's record for makes.
Pete took 599 more shots in 3 years than she has taken thus far through her 4th year, and she's only 18 pts away.
I did the math in another thread with her 2pt and 3pt percentages and how it would relate with the 599 additional shots and she blows the total out of the water.
Pete was fricking the man! Love him.
Don't discount this lady, she's "different". A real athlete to be celebrated.

It's so amazing how triggered, insecure, and threatened lsu fans are over this

Congratulations Caitlin on the all time scoring title!
Sad that Pete was still celebrated for this since it happened before title 9.

Clark is going to own the record and has had far and away a better career.
Wail and whine all you want.
It amazes me how so many fans are upset about a current player breaking a record that many fans on this site never even saw play.

But wait, there's more:
Pearl Moore set a scoring standard for women’s basketball that has stood for 45 years. AP News

Her career points total — a staggering 4,061 — still stands as the overall record in women’s hoops and is unlikely to fall this season even if Clark and the Hawkeyes make another deep NCAA Tournament run.

Should we compare Women's softball to mens baseball as a direct comparison for individual accomplishments too?

Add to that Pete did what he did against men and the Clark lady did it against women.

Only a very stupid person would believe this.
Clark is awesome but its not even a discussion for serious minds.

Yeah, they were a juggernaut when he was there. What's amusing is the vast majority of you never saw him play. Hell, I was a kid when he played.
What is also being completely ignored here is that the SEC had barely begun to integrate in sports at the time. He most certainly wasn't playing against top flight competition for the most part.

yet you go so hard in the paint for Clark in an attempt to get under the skin of LSU fans.
Pathetic, yet predictable.
Yeah. Doesn’t seem to be working at all.

Then he wasn't playing with top flight teammates which makes his accomplishments even more credible. We all know that surrounding yourself with good players makes you better also. Right?

I saw Pete play in person at Auburn as a freshman. The team warmups would have made the Globetrotters proud. As I recall, the crowd dwindled after the freshman game, with substantially fewer in attendance for the varsity game. Pete was the real deal and a magnate for fans to see him play.

If he had better teammates he wouldn't be taking 2/3 or more of the teams shots each game. They'd help to carry the load.
I'm not saying he wasn't a great player. He obviously was but the 44,2 ppg is due to more than his abilities alone. There are plenty of other factors involved including his dad being the head coach.

"Plenty of other factors"? Do enlighten us. As for his daddy being his coach, do you honestly believe that any HC, with those teams Pete played on, would have coached him any different. The argument that Pete didn't play against good teams because of segregation is dumb. What about the primarily black teams Clark is playing against, many of those teams are getting beat by 35-40 points. She just broke the females' record against Minn. By 40 points. S.Car. just beat a good bama team by 35+. LSU had 2 30+ plus leads against UGA last nite.
