For all you folks trying to "equate" those two, here you go:

Through today (per ESPN) Clark has 3,650 points and is 18 points shy of Pete. However...

Remove 799 points from her freshman year (freshmen were not allowed to play on the varsity teams back in Pete's day), and 387 points (the number of 3 point shots made soph/jr/sr years reduced to two point shots, as there was no 3 point shot when Pete played) for a total reduction of 1186 points. Add that to the 18 she needs for a grand total of 1204 points needed to break Pete's record.

If she can do that in 1 regular season game plus Conf and and NCAA tournaments this year, then you knuckleheads can talk.

There is no “equate.”

Clark is going to own the record and has had far and away a better career.

Wail and whine all you want.

They're two different games. You may as well be comparing NCAA to NBA.

Can’t wait to see where she goes in the NBA draft. I’m hoping New Orleans.

For a fan base that respects women’s basketball sooooooooo much, LSU sure is dismissive of ole Ms. Clark. Oh well Y’all creamed your jeans over beating her last year, is that not so important anymore?

Anyone with common sense knows it’s different

People insinuating she’s better is either a fourth wave feminist or just fricking around

Even when it doesn't even involve them, Bama fans are melting the hardest. Per usual. God I love laughing at them.

Clark's career average is 28.3 points per game.
Pistol's career average was 44.2 points per game. Without a 3-point shot.
No disrespect to Clark because she's had an amazing career, but Pistol Pete is the greatest and anyone who ever saw him play can attest to that.

This is why I only go to the ESPN site to check actual scores. The wokeness and attempts at indoctrination is mind boggling. Women’s basketball is a sidebar. Always has, always will be.

Actually, Pearl Moore is the all-time scoring leader in women's basketball. And will continue to be after Clark heads to the WNBA.

Pearl Moore scored 4,061 points for Francis Marion University in South Carolina from 1975-79.

Those are the cold, hard facts. Wail and whine all you want.

Pete was by far the superior player. The comparisons are dumb. Anyone who thinks she is better or equal to Pete live in la la land. If they could play one on one, she wouldn't score. Pete would score whenever he wanted.

No shot clock too….teams used to hang on to the ball a while when playing Pete, cause the less he shot the better chance they had to win. Truth.

You gumps are so emotional. You rail against WBB and those who enjoy it, yet you go so hard in the paint for Clark in an attempt to get under the skin of LSU fans.

Pathetic, yet predictable.
