That’s because Miami sucks arse. If they didn’t play one of the most pathetic schedules I’ve ever seen, I’d argue they wouldn’t make a Bowl.

Aah, the classic because I said so argument. Always a compelling one. Well I’m saying so now. Washington is not that much better than Miami. They’re similar caliber teams and LSU did look better than Auburn.

I outlined a fairly substantive argument over the course of the previous 3 pages, and you wanted nothing to do with it.

I’m not sure what you’re looking for. There is nothing to suggest Miami is anywhere near the team Washington is. Not defensively, and certainly not offensively.

It's hard to gauge much through one game but Miami seems terrible.

Didn’t need the pretty stats whereas auburn could well have lost that game and needed every last yard to beat UW

While I don't agree with you and do in fact think Washington is better than Miami. You are right in saying this. Ensminger and O went into ultra conservative mode in the end of the 3rd till basically the end of the game.

Your argument is based on circular reasoning. Washington is better because Miami sucks and stuff that happened last year. It’s not substantive at all. I brought you back to the core of your premise which is a fallacy.

Auburn isn’t trash. They’re very good. I just think LSU looked better tonight. And it isn’t because Miami sucks.

Do you place any value in watching the games or is it all transitive property and stats?

Washington is way overrated in a horrible pac12 conference this year. Miami may actually be better.

I live on the west coast and watch plenty of pac12 games. This isn’t about transitive property on my part. Saying they’re both similar caliber team doesn’t dictate what will happen 2 weeks from now. I’m saying LSU looked better than Auburn this weekend. I really think they did.

Just curious. I know everyone hates the "eye test" but WA looked significantly better than Miami to me. All I'm saying.

Offensively, yes. Defensively not so much. I thought the Miami front 7 was stout and brought a ton of heat. I didn’t see that with UW. It’s all subjective anyway. Nobody really knows who’s what at this point.

Washington is NOT a quality opponent. They are about on par with Louisville.

Miami is a top 20 team and will look great on a playoff resume. Simple as that.

Honestly there should be no rankings to start the year. Every year we see these high ranked teams get smashed early while others do better. You can’t tell shite based off week one alone
