I’m not asking this for any specific reason and I’m not expecting this to happen. I just heard the question being brought up on the local sports radio show we get in northwest Louisiana.
They were asking if there has ever been a head coach, under contract, leave one sec school and immediately go straight to another sec school and coach that school the next season.
They brought it up to make a point that it’s unlikely LSU’s new coach will be someone that’s in the conference this season.
The coach that’s been rumored and the coach the discussion was about, was Mark Stoops.
Marks a good coach but I don’t think he would be the type to leave what he’s built. Plus, he doesn’t seem like a Woodward hire.
There is a rumor that’s much more believable and is from a real source, not just media speculation.
That rumor is that Scott Woodward has ,supposedly, already got a guy that’s very interested to negotiate a deal , if the deals not already done, but it wouldn’t be known till the teams seasons over, obviously. the source said it was someone that will possibly make the playoff.
The guy that said the last part is probably our most connected poster on tiger rant. He’s a donor but I don’t think he’s on the board.

The only coaches I thought of were Houston nutt and will muschamp. I couldn’t remember if they took a break in between being head coaches

The only thing that would make me think there is any jimbo possibility is the fact that there is no buyout.
I don’t see why he would come from a and m to lsu to probably take a pay cut .

A female reporter will ask him a question that the whole world is thinking and he will stand there and make the lady think she just asked the most retarted question that could be asked and embarrasses the frick out of her, he does it to men too , but it’s much worse when he does it to women.
