I asked Grok to provide SEC baseball teams' field dimensions.

This is what AI is good for:

Y'all's obsession with field sizes is so weird

It would be interesting to see how much of a difference in ERA Tennessee has at home vs away, and then compare that to how other teams differ in the same stat.
Not perfect though as teams don't exactly play the same schedules and don't get home and away series against the same teams, but still. Would be interesting.

Fence height is pretty important too.

weather factors much more of a deal then dimensions
no ball was getting out of LF at LSU yesterday with wind blowing in
only chance was to hit it out towards rf
once we get later in the spring the Box becomes much more conducive to HR's due to humidity and winds coming from the south

Oh now that would be a fun one to investigate. Whole Tik Tok series waiting to happen with a fan going round with a tape measure to every schools walls

Oklahoma made a decision of not many homers when they constructed their field. 411 dead center is a shot.

This is probably the most true. Every time Athens hosts a regional come May/June, ball flies with the summer heat. Think Athens set the record for total number of HRs in a regional back in 2019

You wouldn't believe how many balls go to the track in Swayze that are caught. All of those would be homers at Tennessee's t-ball field.

Now do fence height! Not sure how many have a “green monster” or something similar. I know Auburn does in left field.
It is kinda cool to use AI like you did.

The “monster” wall is like 37’ though.

did Kentucky change their dimensions recently...seems like it was about like Tennessee at one time

Grok didn't like that question or maybe I didn't ask right, so I just ran the numbers for TN last year and this year.

Most of these stats are similar home vs road.. but they allow 1.9 more earned runs on the road.. Perhaps their opponents are trying to go yard more at LN? I'll have to think about the why behind that..

I see what you are talking about but for some reason AI is not tapping into Auburn's "monster".

Doesn't look like it. Grok's dimensions of Kentucky's field match BigBros'.

maybe the wind blows a lot out there. I can remember balls flying out of that place...may have been a long time ago though
