Minus the distractions, Ole Miss was our biggest rival when I was a child. My brother married a girl from Jackson and her dad was die hard Ole Miss. I was to young to rib the guy but I appreciated the banter. Lane was leaving after this year. Most if not all coaches want a chance to elevate. Saban went to the NFL and it was hurtful to many of us. Then he went to Alabama. I never hated him for following his dream. LSU was pulled out to the dark ages because of him. Kiffin did the same for Ole Miss. One day, after the pain of his leaving subsides, build him a statue. Meanwhile, go win it all this year.

We now have a great 4 team field and a real playoff at this point.

We know the rest were pretenders but it took a couple of rounds to know for sure.

The only one outside that might have an argument was Georgia but Ole Miss exposed them just barely enough.

Georgia’s the only team I feel a little bad for.

Hindsight says switch out Oklahoma or Bama for Notre Dame but since it’s ND, I say frick them.

Will be very fun from here on out.

I just can’t see Pete Golding being a National championship winning HC.
at least not yet

Why would Ole Miss do such a thing? Kiffin has since trying to prevent Golding to win a championship when he wanted to be the one coaching the playoffs. He is the biggest jerk for trying to destroy Golding and Ole Miss chance to win a championship this season.
Also Kiffin is trying to take control of Ole Miss football team while he decided to run away to LSU. I'll understand if he was going to the NFL or to a team from a different conference that will not effect Ole Miss in any way.

Pete has been on the high road the whole time. He coached a brilliant game Thursday night. He is a Saban student like many others. The amount of crap he has taken on this board from LSU fans is undeserved. He might not be head coaching material. Time will tell. But the LSUs and Finebaums trashing him is wrong.

He soundly beat Georgia and Kirby. He's earned his spot

I want Ole Miss to win the Championship because their team, Alumni and supporters all got a raw deal.

It’s big business in the coaching world, sure. But this went down in the worst possible fashion. It’s on Kiffen, and the respective Athletic Departments, but not on the players and fans.

I genuinely hope they win.

I don't know if OM will ever get over this. Pete will have a major overhaul to do with coaches/players next year. That is when we will really know what Pete is made of. Chambliss is a total freak and even OM coaches couldn't have predicted he would break out like this, esp these last two games. OM lucked up there lol. But, that is what takes to get a championship sometimes.

It seems as though fans of most teams want a coach to worship.

Bow down before the mighty, as we build statues and gand cathedrals that the multitudes will fill.

Interesting

Edit - Yes I am going back to work tomorrow. Sheesh !

SEC needs a win and needs it badly. The brand is taking a beating.
