I am not a normal listener to the Paul Finebaum show but...

are all of these callers legitimate or are some of them an act? Yesterday I heard Darryl from Columbus GA and some guy named Legend and both have the possibility of being institutionalized at any moment. I listened this week just due to the game and all but man there are some crazies that call in. I just got Sirius in my vehicle a few months back so I really didn't know anything about the show.

They all have the crazy. Darryl claims to be BFFs with Jarvis Jones though and I'm pretty sure Legend killed a guy.

Listen for the entertainment value, and his regular guests. He actually has good guests on the show. He's actually a very good interviewer when he has legitimate guests on the show.

It's all a script. The radio station does not pay these people per se. They get other perks like football tickets and whatnot. I know that is the case for Tammy. She hasn't paid for an AU football ticket yet.

I listen to the roundtable during lunch then shut it off soon as Finebaum comes on.
Its just Jerry Springer on the radio. I don't see why trailer trash is so popular right now.

It's always been that way. 90% of his best interviews are in the offseason though. It seems that those interviews are more free and he doesn't normally hold to a certain time on them, if the interviewee has the time, and it's engaging.

I listen solely for the comedic value. Daryl from Columbus is the worst caller I can remember. He HAS to be a poster here, I'm just trying to figure out who.
