It’s the same thing every time.

-Low expectations
-QB uncertainty
-2 losses early
-knock off two top 25 teams back to back
-Loses in postseason

Literally none of this happened last year

Check back in @ halftime @ JH this fall. You'll likely be trailing and in a full panic wondering why you can't stop a freshman QB. I noticed you gave yourself an out at the bottom. LOL and frick AU fom here too. But this is one of those years they build for. I don't feel bad for 'em. They are the masters of hybotny. Which is the art of snatching sheat from the south end of a north flying goose. Kick six and more for specific references. I remember once holding a multiple T.D. and crushing lead, something like 28-7 or worse and our RB running free without an AU defender in sight when inexplicably he simply dropped the football about 3 yards in bound on the 20. With no one around him but UA players. Instead of rolling out of bounds or staying in bounds where Bama players could grab it or stopping in the end zone the ball rolled as straight as an arrow and like it was rocket propelled through the end zone. AU ball so instead of game over it is game on. Crazy!

He’s not wrong in saying that every time people are down on AU, y’all turn around and have a surprise season.

I’ve been saying all offseason I think people are underestimating y’all.

Starting 16th is the perfect place for Us. anytime we are ranked high its a bad season but we are not too low to move up. Believe 04 we were ranked 23 in 2010. If we can get out of our own way in Baton Rouge it might be a good season.

I also feel that A&M and FL are both overrated in the preseason poll.

Who knows man. We could go 12-0 or 5-7. I’ve just accepted this as an auburn fan.

I also live in NC and unfortunately only make a couple home games a year in BR.

AU and A&M are those games this year. I expect the AU game to be a battle and will define both of our seasons. Beat Oregon and we will likely both be undefeated heading into that game.

I agree about A&M and Florida. Not worried about A&M in the slightest.

People need to stop jinxing this shite. This is exactly the kind of year where Auburn wrecks shop out of nowhere and makes all of the "laugh at Auburn threads" look foolish. It would be the most Auburn thing ever for a threatened Gus to pull out a 10 win season with his talent.

Your assessment very well may be accurate, but don't feel sorry for Auburn. We have lots of games to look forward to. It may not be an equitable situation, but I'd prefer AU play a tough schedule fill of games against interesting opponents. Even with that schedule, the few rent-a-wins still annoy me.

You could cherry pick any schedule we've had for 20 years and it wouldn't look much different.

Usually it's 4 or 5 losses or more, like 10 of the last 12 seasons. The other 2 were good: 12-2, 14-0.

Kirby is averaging more than 3 loses each year and he is the second coming of Saban.

I feel sorry for UGA and Bama who don't play anyone and has to spend most of the year watching boring games.

if we show fight in any games we’re picked to lose and he keeps the games respectable he’ll keep his job. If the team quits on him much like they did on Chizik in 2012 then I could see a change. This is not our year to make any kind of run. If he makes the playoffs this year then my opinion of him will totally change.

Gus has never come remotely close to losing the team.
