More than one thing can be true at the same time. Freeze can be a miserable human being. He can also be a pretty good football coach. He can also be right about how the rule is enforced. Auburn can be a not very good football team. You can be a whiney bitch. All of those can be true at the same time.

Did DeBoer vacation in Thailand the week prior to Vandy,…..or did his team just look that unprepared for other reasons?

It is impossible to call consistently.
A linebacker gets called for waiving his arms to signal a DL shift, and it's called. Later in the game, the exact same thing happens and the offense is called for a false start. Again in the same game, the QB claps his hands, but not to call for the snap, but to put the H-back in motion; DL jumps on the simulated snap, and gets called for offside.
Like with a catch, it's getting harder to understand what the rule actually is.
