A golf pro am may not have been a great place for that question but Freezes reaction to it tells me that he knows what is coming is bad.

Meaning, he won't likely be playing in this pro-am next year.

Or he's tired of having to answer to the violations that were committed. When the man is playing golf, let him play golf.

There are 5.14 million reasons why that was a question he should have handled that differently.

Yep and I only did this in part because I thought it was funny. I think what he did or just simply saying "I'm not going to answer questions like that at a golf event" are the only right ways to handle a situation like that.

They're idiots, they caught Gus on the damn tee box and asked him his thoughts on Auburn moving to the East. WTF?

He should've just played the "ongoing investigation" card.

If you're making $5 million a year you should probably be able to answer a question on a golf course.

Agreed. Which also shows how useless the outrage over this is. "He should have just given his boilerplate non-answer instead of just not answering." He should've been more professional, but it's not like the journalist has been deprived of any info because of it.

CHF is at that event because he's made a name for himself that people know. He made that name by cheating*, so he should be expected to defend his position.

*allegedly

Sure, I just don't see an issue with him not wanting to answer a question like that in this situation. I wouldn't be saying this if this happens at media days.

I also in no way am saying I feel bad for the guy.

But I thought they couldn't wait to tell their side of the story?

What makes you think he isn't able to answer the question? Maybe he just didn't want to..

And I'm sure his salary doesn't dictate he has to be cooperative in answering every reporter's questions.

There are SEC football coaches at an event in Alabama. You can't be surprised at the media action

Hell, Pawwwwl lives right off the 2nd tee at Shoal Creek. A media circus should be expected

It's a charity golf event. There's a time and place for everything.

Bulldogging a coach about stupid shite when he's approaching the damn tee box over some trivial crap about "your thoughts on Auburn moving to the SECEast?" are asinine . Pushing Freeze to address the NCAA investigation is just as asinine IMO.
