I have a graduate degree in journalism. I assure you I can read better than anyone who went to college in Alabama just because the AP put Auburn at 12th that doesn't change their number of football games and accolades they've won. I know it burns you up to not be with the rest of the big 6. Perhaps we could change it to the big 5 and let Auburn exist in some sort of pergatory. Not as good as the big 5 but not as bad as the rest. I'll write all the necessary people who need to be informed of this change.

I'd say the ones digging through research to present facts say how low auburn is are the ones doing the slamming.

In fact I think that was my first post in this entire thread lol.

Don't these teams comprise a group of some kind? And does existence of said group rustle those outside said group beyond recognition? Enough to deny said group's very existence, despite said group's existence being very real?

I would say said poster may be on to a valid said point.

Quite the contrary. Georgia's membership in the Big-6 is quite suspect given your lack of NCs since the Reagan era and your absence of an SEC title in the past decade.

There, sir, is the key. You 'had'.
So did we, if you want to go that route.

Don't care if we ever get invited to your 'big six' snobbery club, if that's what you think we are after. That kind of 'exclusivity' desire is so immature. (We've got a club, and you can't join...) is so childish.

All we care about is beating your arse, and let the chips fall where they may.

Well. If you had done that more often, you would BE in the Big 6....or 7....or whatever.

Arkansas is 4-10 (28%) against UGA with only 1 of those wins coming in the last 21 years.

Just fyi.

Top 5: Alabama
Top 10: Tennessee
Top 15: LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn
Top 25: Arkansas, aTm
Top 35: Ole Miss
Top 45: Missouri
Top 70: Kentucky, South Carolina
Top 80: Vanderbilt, State

You have Vanderbilt way over valued. They have only been to a bowl game 7 times in their history. They ranked 84th in weeks ranked in the AP poll. 589 wins ranks them 56th all time.

Arkansas and Texas A&M are both top 25 programs all time. Both rank in the top 20 in weeks in the AP poll. Both rank in the top 23 in all time wins. Both programs rank in the top 18 in all time bowl appearances. Both rank in the top 25 in all time NFL draft picks. Both also rank in the top 28 in Consensus All Americans. Both programs are probably in the range of 17-22 all time.

what 4 programs would be higher?

ND and Michigan are the only 2 that would even be in the conversation, and very likely only 1 of those would actually be above bama if I were forced to guess. I really doubt there are 4 better programs historically.

Also, and this is a big pet peeve of mine, but UM gets a bit of an unfair hat tip on things like this due to their all time win total. They are miles out ahead of eveyrone else but their first football season was damn near 20 yeras before other people's.

because they know that Bama/UT/UGA/UF/LSU are all in the top 15 and it burns them up to know they aren't in the same tier as the rest of us.
More like UGA fans can't stand anyone talking up Auburn. You might want to watch talking them down too much. They are the only thing yall have to hang Richt's tenure on. It's a shame yall only have a one game advantage over a team so bad through history.

Really depends on what factors you weight heavily I guess.

Alabama ranks 6th in win percentage
Alabama ranks 6th in all time wins
Alabama ranks 6th in all time Consensus All Americans
Alabama ranks 10th in NFL draft picks all time
Alabama ranks 5th in weeks in AP poll all time

It really depends on what you would put more stock in.
