Relevant because he will be competing for awards against SEC players this year and was part responsible for putting a beat down on some of your teams in the recent past.

Seriously, I am just bored and have been talking about the young man and I am curious about how you think he will do in the Sooner system. I won't be surprised if he throws for around 4000 yds and is up for awards but I won't be surprised if he struggles as well. I hope he does a really good job. What do you think?

He'll pass for 3500 and rush for just under 1000. He will be at the Heisman ceremony

Jalen Hurts will win the Heisman. He will make it to the playoffs where they will lose to Clemson. Hope that helps.

Just depends on how quickly he can grasp what Riley wants to do on offense. Mayfield and Murray both had multiple years to adjust while Jalen has less than a year. God knows he has the talent and given the time constraints, if he can perform at a high level then Riley deserves COTY for getting him up to speed

Probably very well. At least we know he will have better offensive coaching than he would have had at bama

He'll do great in that offense. Don't be surprised when you're hearing his name a lot.

I love Jalen Hurts. That said, Jalen Hurts is hellaciously inaccurate and basically incapable of checking down.

Dude was surrounded by NFL talent at OL, RB, TE/WR (Ridley, Howard, Foster & Sims all currently in line to start this year) and was non functional against top tier defenses outside of one spectacular quarter against UGA last year for which he will always be a legend in Tuscaloosa.

Mayfield and Murray thrived because they were laser accurate AND mobile. They found secondary targets, stretched the field and read defenses. Hurts has to prove he can do that.

He will be fine until he plays teams who can take away what he does best (one read, boot and run).

Wish him the best and hope the OU system helps him break through for a successful NFL career.

For most of their schedule he'll put up video game numbers. I'll be interested to see how he does when they play some of the teams (Texas maybe, the playoffs) that are able to make the QB beat them with his arm. He has improved due to hard work, but his abilities as an accurate and big armed passer aren't in the same area code as Mayfield or Murray. That won't matter in most of their games, though.

I hope he does well.

He beat us by himself on offense that year with the holding calls that our fans bitch about, that everyone gets sometimes.

Last time OU scored 10 points in a game and WON was the 2002 Cotton Bowl vs. Arkansas, 10-3. OU had a defense then. I would like a defense like that again.

He won't see nothing like that again on defense

I expect him to do very well. They have a very powerful offense and he can run their system well.

I wouldn't be surprised if he won the Heisman.

I saw him play in their spring game. He was accurate and is clearly their best qb. He will probably start and put up his best numbers but he is not as good as their previous 2 qb's. Unless OU makes drastic improvement on defense, I don't expect them to beat Texas and/or win the Big 12. Jalen is solid but not good enough to carry the team to the playoffs like Kyler did.
