On defense.
1)You will do what LSU did and contain Manziel. Put at least one spy on him and keep him in the pocket.
You will confuse the hell out of him with all the bizarre coverage schemes that Satan has come up with in the last six months. You will get turnovers.
On Offense, you will run the ball and use TE's and short passing game to wear them down. IF Rice can score 30 pts I assume you can too. Your weakness which looks like your Oline will match up better than you think against their porous defense.
Special teams are much better and deeper than A&M right now,
If that fails just do with you always do to us, use the real "13th man" the homeboy bama refs!

Bama tried that whole "spy" thing like we did and didn't work out for them as well. Bama is beatable, if VT offense is worth anymore than a shite flavored lollipop they would have potentially lost the first game. If this game was late in the season i would take bama, since it's early i like A&M's chances.
but in all actuality who fricking has any idea what is going to happen, it's all pointless speculation.

Saban will have his players in Manziel's ear after every play just baiting him into doing something stupid to get a penalty, etc. And, it will work

This is the very reason it will NOT work. He is going to know the game plan is to taunt him. If Bama tries that tactic, I see them getting a taunting penalty before A&M or JFF, which will will stop it almost immediately. It will not be a factor.

LSU only contained him when they went to two spys in the 3-2-6. They came out with a 4-2-5, were incredibly to aggressive and kept getting worked over.

I understand your logic, but can you really say that Manziel has the ability to show restraint? He let RICE get in his head and he was playing well. If the Bama defense plays to their ability early in the game and is giving him problems, he's going to be more likely to implode.

If ATM tackles like they did against Rice Bama will really control the clock and limit ATM's chances. I see Bama grinding it out. JFF will make some plays but bama will make enough.

The real question is.. how can Alabama go into halftime with at least a touchdown on the board. AJ was MIA for 2 quarters last year

Bama has a bye this week. Not sure if I like having 2 weeks to prepare for A&M when we clearly need more than just practice time-we need playing time. Would rather play a patsy team like A&M is playing this weekend and at least have another week to get our OL time to continue to gel.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the deal with the defensive starters missing in aTm's first game? Will they be out when Bama comes to town?
My money is on Bama, but if aTm suddenly gets a disruptive and opportunistic defense, then they should at least have a chance.

Mostly disciplinary reasons for off season stuff. Mix of 1 game and 2 game suspensions for a couple of starters. Plus a couple of injuries.

Good luck with that. They talked shite for the full 1 1/2 quarters he played, when he scored 24 pts 4 of 5 possessions. Every opponent has my approval to get him pissed.
