re: How do you feel about having to tackle D Henry in 2014?

The defense he faced in the A day game is the best one he'll face all season.

I actually thought he looked good against Oklahoma. He should have been running the ball more in the last quarter of those last two games. The results might have been different.

I'm sure Vandy will have a problem meeting those guidelines.

The your vs. you're is a generational thing. The lazy texting generation is taking over.

Everybody sacrifices a lot to play college football. How is that throwing anyone under the bus?

Just play fotball. I don't care about his sexual prefences any more than I do about the sexual preferences of any other player. No need to flaunt it, though.

no

I'm not an Auburn fan, but the combo of William Andrews, James Brooks, and Joe Cribbs was pretty special. Too bad Doug Barfield couldn't find a way to make it all work.

"What about you play Tennessee, Vandy, and Kentucky?"
You mean Vandy who has been good of late? Kentucky has also had its years of being decent, and Tennessee has a storied football history and will continue to climb back.

JaMarcus Russell was a really big hit. :nana:

I'm tired of "weak" schedule Talk. If you have to play Forida, LSU, TX A&M, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina etc.., you do not have a weak schedule. Any time you have to play any SEC team there is a risk of a loss. This isn't the Big 10 for goodness sakes. There are no weak schedules when you play 8 SEC games.

JPW was a winner all through his football career. He was a better athlete than people give him credit for.

Wouldn't have rated that stadium in Knoxville quite so high.
re: Rank the best actors from the SEC.

Mizzou- I wouldn't count Kate Capshaw. She totally ruined that Indiana Jones movie.
re: After 2 years in the SEC, does Missouri feel like a natural fit yet?

No, but neither does South Carolina.
re: SEC QB's - The Four M's - where do they get drafted?

Texans should take JFF over Bridgewater. They would sell out every home game and the tv ratings for Houston's games would rise considerably.
re: How long until the 4 team playoff format changes to 8 teams?

If two or more SEC teams make it in to the four team playoff and the SEC ends up having both teams in the championship game, the rest of the country will start clamorring for a bigger field.
re: Bama needs to call in the blacksmith

Alabama's goal is not to win 10 or 11 games a year. It is to win the Natty. That is why all of those recruits come.
Bama needs to call in the blacksmith

because there is a crack in the armor. After dominating college football for the past 5 years, Alabama, understandably, has stuck with what has worked well for them. The problem is that other teams have adapted to find success against what Alabama is doing. The big slow defensive linemen dedicated to stopping the inside run are being negated by quick strike offenses running misdirection plays. This is especially true when facing a mobile qb.
The offense is designed for controlling the ball and overpowering the opponent's defense. The offensive lineman are also very large and sometimes not that quick. We saw the problem with the O line magnified in the Sugar bowl with the smaller, quicker OK defnsive line --especially Striker off the end.
Alabama is built like a professional team. We are designed to beat the big, strong teams like LSU that want to hit you in the mouth. In the future, we need to be better prepared to play the smaller, trickier teams that aren't interested in going head-to-head.
That being said, the OK qb played the game of his life last night. That is what it takes to beat Alabama. If he can build on that performance, they will soon be in the NC hunt.

re: Stanford really is the Alabama of the West.

I came in late in the game, but the first thing I asked the guy I was watching it with was "Is Stanford's QB hurt so that they can't pass the ball?"
