Not a single damn playmaker at WR homerun deep threat like in years past… hell, we don’t even have one this year coming up either.
We needed Tyler Harrell, the blazing speedster transfer from Louisville to get healthy but he was injured most the year and barely played like 3 games if even that, then entered the transfer portal again.

By losing to LSU.

They will say it was their coordinators, but it’s really a decline in culture.
Defensive culture changed dramatically under Golding because of scheme (often too complex) and accountability (or lack thereof). He may truly be a defensive savant, as Saban loved him, but he couldn't make it transfer to onfield performance
Offense ran through Bryce Young. His injury played a large part in the season outcomes. But, OC called games like an NFL coordinator. Too conservative, as if equal talent were on both sides of the field. BOB lacked creativity to game plan for specific matchups and adjust.
Not sure what Rees will bring to the table, but Steele is a known quantity. He will demand toughness and accountability. I expect the D to play hard, attack, and most importantly finish.
Not sure where it will lead, but I am glad changes were made.

Will Anderson is not an anchor, did you hear his comments after the Tennessee game?

WHat do you mean it was not true. Javier Arenas, Andre Smith, Mike Johnson, Marlon Davis, Marlon Davis, Antonie Caldwell, Zo Washington, bradon Diedrick, Bobby Greenwood,Glenn Coffe, erk Anders that is just to name a few all Shula guys that started on the 08 team and many on the 09 team. The Oline and Dline. You have no Ideal what you are talking about. Saban turned Shule recruit into players. That 08 Oline was nasty and they were all SHula guys.

1 oline and no wr is why. Those were their two biggest deficiencies.

Saban lost the LSU game by stupidly chasing points in the 3rd quarter when you never go for two until late 4th when the game is close.

You left Eli Ricks off the draft list..... but apparently all the NFL teams did as well.

They’ll be begging to have those coordinators back compared to what they have now.

Agreed. But, that’s where the age thing starts to be a factor. The younger Saban would have fired him at halftime in Knoxville and told him to Uber home.
Allegedly, he "fired" Applewhite after the Mississippi State game in 2007 but he stayed on the staff but lost playcalling duties. He became just the QB coach and Pendry (OL Coach and Asst. Head Coach) was calling the plays.
The telling thing is that Saban did not do that with Golding from any scuttlebutt I've heard around Tuscaloosa. I'm surprised that we never caught wind of Charles Kelly taking a more active role in gameplanning and playcalling. Seems like he just road out a broken arrangement to the "bitter" (such as it can be called going 11-2) end.
