uh...I prefer winning yes? If I could play a naitonal title game against a teams' entire 3rd string or play them at full strentgh then yes, of course I would prefer the 3rd stringers. Because we'd be more likely to win.

I'd rather lose a boxing match against a healthy person that beat the shite out of a cripple.
Maybe that's just me though.

If I was a bama fan I'd feel different. All about persective. Bama is so bored wiht winning at this point I don't see how half your fanbase even remains engaged until January as it is. There are like 2 teams nationally every year that are even capable of giving you a game. So yeah, if I were in yoru shoes and titles were more common than not I'd agree.
I grew up watching goff and donnan and have only seen us win one title in my lifetime and that was 3 months ago. This is still new territory for many of us.

I'm still engaged in every game, regardless of who we play. I wasn't old enough to be around during the Bryant years (died while I was 6), so I very vividly remember many, many lean years. We never took any game for granted; hell, I can remember getting into very rough games against Southern Miss.
That being said, I also got annoyed at Texas fans trying to pin their loss on Colt getting hurt (while ignoring our starting QB was playing with busted ribs), even to the point that some were trying to imply he was hurt intentionally (because apparently Marcell Dareus is a ninja who is an expert at pressure points). So yeah, I'd rather beat the healthy team.
