4 in the 1st round vs Auburn who had FOUR players drafted and ZERO in the first round.Did AU have a Heisman winner at QB? The best WR in CFB? The best pass rusher? Did I miss something?

Talk about underachieving.

Hell they had twice as many players drafted as UGA.How did UGA almost beat em?

bama was banged up big time at the end of the year. They probably should've lost to MSU the week before too.

Of course, they were much healthier by January.

When you're down to the 3rd string white guy at LB that mainly plays special teams and baseball, it's definitely not a good situation.

UCF, LSU and UGA say otherwise.

I know injuries have bene the topic of the day but I wish more people understand bama's situation in november of 2017. People saw their games against MSu and AU and felt like we should've wiped the flloor with them and honestly, if we played them in the SECCG we likely would have. But by teh time January rolled aroudn they had healed up a good bit and we played a copmletely different team than the one from 2 months prior. I woudl have loved to play the november edition instead of the january one lol.

Jalen Hurts. He still had not developed a passing game. You remember that don’t you? UGA led in the national title game, too, till Tua and the freshmen receivers had a coming out party in the 2nd half. A healthy Tua was a very good qb but unfortunately had horrible injury luck starting about mid year his sophomore season. Alabama hired Dan Enos before the 2018 season and Hurts improved a lot too.

Injuries on defense, particularly at LB and Jalen Hurts was incompetent against any defense with a pulse - he should have been pulled after the first half. Not sure if Bama got a first down in the second half of that game other than the opening drive.

Lot of rumor that year that the receivers were not happy that Tua was on the bench. The OC wanted to play Tua as well. The offense looked entirely different the 2nd half of the title game.

You prefer playing teams decimated by injuries?

Even as an LSU fan, I can admit this is an understatement. When healthy, Tua was the best Bama QB in history imo. A phenomenal college player.
