For basically the entire season, your teams have been "perfect" and perceived as the top 2 teams in the land. You both have been dismantling your opponents week in and week out. You both have teams capable of winning a SEC and national championship, and anything less than that would be a major disappointment.

But only one team will remain perfect and on their way to Atlanta, and the loser will just be another one loss team playing for a BCS Bowl, which is nothing to scoff at but definitely not what you want when your team is capable of much more.

There's such a fine line between historic greatness, and just another "good season," and it basically all comes down to this game which if played 10 times, the results could easily be 5-5.

Every single play on Saturday will take your team one step closer, or one step further away from historic greatness.

How wound up/nervous are yall about this game? I know if this were Arkansas, I would have trouble sleeping all week.

We still have just as much of a chance next year, so, I'm not nervous.

You are so jelly.

ETA: To answer the OP, I'm pretty fricking excited/nervous and it's building as the game gets closer.

Although, I'm more excited than nervous.

Every now and then it occurs to me that 'Damn. I'm gonna BE at this huge fricking game everyone in the country is talking about'

Its pretty awesome. Not as awesome as arguing on the Internet about a cheap shot by one of my players but still....pretty cool.

You know funny you say that, because I'm not that worried really, just excited, but when I go to bed it's all I think about.

Nervous? Scared is more like it.

Favorite team logo bet for LSU-Alabama game!

It's 35-15 LSU-Tide fans.

This is going to be one of those games that will be forever etched in lore... especially for the losing team

I envision old men talking about "2011.. that team was truly special... if it weren't for those damn Tigers/Tide, that year was ours..."

I've spoken to Arkansas fans who hold some games in the 60s in the same regard

No, I'm pretty sure I know why they're not posting in it.

This. To me, part of being an Alabama fan is knowing that this type of thing is commonplace, but yet still just as awesome every time as it was the time before.

Being at the center of college football is a pretty badass feeling.
