Knoxville Super Regional
No. 1 Tennessee vs. Notre Dame

Greenville Super Regional
No. 8 East Carolina vs. No. 9 Texas

College Station Super Regional
No. 5 Texas A&M vs. No. 12 Louisville

Blacksburg Super Regional
No. 4 Virginia Tech vs. Oklahoma

Corvallis Super Regional
No. 3 Oregon State vs. No. 14 Auburn

Hattiesburg Super Regional
Ole Miss vs. No. 11 Southern Miss

Chapel Hill Super Regional
No. 10 North Carolina vs. Arkansas

Stanford Super Regional
No. 2 Stanford vs. UConn

By this schedule I think the SEC gets 4 in. Who do you have making out of the Supers? I’m gonna go with the following-

Tennessee
Ole Miss
aTm
Arkansas

Same 4 in my eyes. Of course none could but I say we have at least 3 in.

I don't feel good about the Hogs. If we get hot at pitching or hitting we'll be there, but both are so inconsistent we can't count on either.

Tonight may have given a couple pitchers a confidence boost though. We'll see.

I hope you're right but Bianco has an atrocious track record in the Supers

Probably get 3 in. Most of those regionals are 50/50. Vols and cardinals are probably 70/30 but every other super looks very competitive.

Tennessee has a dangerous team this round…. I say 3 make it, 2 is highly possible. Ole Miss is known to choke in Supers, Louisville could easily beat A&M, Oregon State will beat Auburn. I think Arkansas, A&M, and Tennessee advance.

That Hattiesburg SR is gonna be fun... Some serious in-state lil' brother inferiority complex hate down there in the 'Burg.

I feel the same way. We are the embodiment of a team that can beat anyone when we are operating at 80+% but can also lose to anyone because we seemingly spend large chunks of time operating at 40%. I know that is baseball to an extent but we are REALLY inconsistent this year and that usually means bad things come tournament time.

Texas A&M and Louisville are very similar teams statistically with A&M having the slight edge. Should be a pretty exciting matchup. I would give A&M the upper hand considering the home field advantage but it could really go either way.

Locks:

Tenn
aTm
Ark

Auburn & Ole Miss have a legit shot as hot as they have been. Wouldn’t shock me one bit to see all 5 in Omaha.

I agree with the same 4 but if Auburn hits like they did last weekend they will get in. I just worry they used up all their runs.

Might be my BAS, but I am not confident we beat Louisville. Our lack of pitching is going to cost us eventually.

Agree. It can be ridiculously painful to watch. I think between going on such a losing tear at the end of the year causing us to drop from national and regional hosting and Ruskin’s(sp?) crap, we’re in the right head space as long as we don’t press. Also, Turner supposedly is a lot healthier. I was very impressed with our game management against Okie State because they were dangerous AF 1-9 and we managed to make it our alive. Who knows with us though. I haven’t seen enough of UNC to say whether or not I think we’ve got them or not.

My preseason prediction was our pitching would hurt us come regional time. Well we are still alive. Arkansas needs the bats to stay hot.

I’ve got to be honest. I was worried about both bc it seems like the past few years we’ve had a lot of player development issues. But regardless, you’re right about what’s happening right now. If our bats don’t go cold, we always have a shot and we know who we are and who we aren’t on the pitching side. I’ve been really impressed with our entire defense stepping up and making extremely difficult and timely plays that are also smart. That saved us from our pitching during our regional at least a couple of times. If pitching and batting is hot, we’re a tough out in a 3 game series.

If Auburn, Ole Miss, and Arkansas all make it to Omaha, they will all be in the same CWS bracket.

Crazy that 7 of 8 CWS teams could be SEC/future SEC.

Seems like in previous years the Supers had a lot of SEC on SEC fratricide.

Why are Texas and Oklahoma included? They're not SEC. I don't give a damn if they're invited. They're not right now.
