I don't think that is true. Would you have thought Spurrier, Richt and Pinkel would be gone after the 2015 season this time last year? Don't forget that Les was all but fired and even Mullen was rumored to be looking around.
This time next year, OM's penalties will be known, or atleast most of the facts will be out there. Freeze will be gone or holding on by the skin of his teeth.
Derek Mason and Stoops both need to make it happen this year or they are gone.
If any of Bert, Les, Gus, or Sumlin choke in 2016, they will have some explaining to do.
Saben, Butch, Mullen, Odom, Muschamp, Smart and McElwain all seem to be safe.

What happens when Auburn goes 5-7 and winless in the West? I'm an MSU fan, but a realistic one, would it be acceptable for an Auburn head coach to lose 3 straight games to State? State will be favored in Starkville, and this is our down year.

IF AU is looking for a coach, who are the candidates? I can't think of any obvious ones (not a knock in anyway on AU, just other then Herman at Houston, can't think of any obvious coaches. Herman, I would think, would be inclined to stay in Texas at A&M)
