How many players can you name who went to a school not because of NIL since it started?

Nic Scourton and maybe DJ Hicks (who claimed he wanted to stay close to his family so he could watch his siblings grow up) are the only ones I can think of.
How about other schools? You got any truly committed, happy-to-be-here non-mercenary players on the team? We're excluding walk-ons for obvious reasons.

All schools buy mercenary players that go to highest bidder.
Except LSU of course. Only players with character are on their roster. They don’t want hired guns.at least this is the story from quite a high number of Tiger rant posters.

Vandys qb, was listening to cole pube lick(joke I actually like his outside the box info) apparently he was going wherever Jerry kill went. Never got an offer outs hs so he went juco. Jerry kill found him and offered and he is supposedly pretty loyal to kill for giving him his shot. It was his only offer I believe

Yeah, it used to be whoever had the most brazen redneck mafia game, and a few hundred thousand dollars could give you a huge competitive advantage.
I think the current NIL system is going to collapse due to its own excesses but at least it’s somewhat out in the open.
