My son went to LSU. I found this website so I could keep up with LSU sports to have good conversations with him. I happen to like it much better than the Gator sites I peruse.

Damn dude, that hit me right in the feels. Good on you.
I can picture both of you in the stands now, sharing quality father/son time, hurling piss balloons together.

Not my kids but we all grew up Memphis fans but my younger brother went to Miss State and i have 3 cousins that went to UT. Did create a more lively fall in the extended family which is fun.

I don’t care where mine go. More concerned about the town/city purely from a safety perspective.

My oldest is a freshman at Auburn. I doubt my younger one will go there. If he does I need to start looking to sell a kidney.

My family were all GA Bulldogs, everyone went to GA in my family! I was the youngest and always kind of did things my own way, so I went to Alabama.
I raised my 2 going to Bama games and they knew how much I loved Bama, but I never pushed them to attend Bama like my parents pushed me to attend GA. In fact when my oldest was deciding where to attend college, we visited numerous different schools, from VA Tech to ND, to GA. I had scheduled all his tours. Finally one day he asked me, "When are you going to schedule a tour for me of Alabama?".
The rest is history, 2 kids at Alabama!

My daughter went to Georgia, which is not bad, considering we play them every 8 years.

I grew up an LSU fan.
Daughter about to graduate from South Carolina. I’ve really enjoyed rooting for the Gamecocks (unless vs LSU) these past 3 years. Great football atmosphere and really solid across a number of sports.
Welcome to the family.

My cousin went to Nashville Diesel College, does that count?

My kid is only 3 months old so I hope I raise him right. But I have five younger siblings and the closest in age to me is 7 years younger, the rest are all more than a decade younger than me, and of course I had to babysit a lot in my teens so they feel like pseudo-kids to me. Not a single one went to LSU like I did or my parents or my grandparents did. Only one even roots for LSU anymore. My youngest brother is currently a Bama student and pulls for Bama and it made me vomit during March Madness when he was home for spring break and referred to Bama as "we" recently and it just set in that he's a Bama fan now. Growing up he was the biggest LSU hoops and football fan and we all attended games together.
The rest either went to Southeastern or my middle brother hopped from college to college each year playing baseball at whatever school would give him a spot and now he lives in Ohio

If my three don’t choose Austin when they get older, I’ve got immediate family connections to A&M, Florida, Auburn, Vandy, Troy, Oxford (UK) & University of Mobile. Would be happy with any of them.

People who let their sports fandoms affect their real world feelings about schools, as educational institutions, are weird. Especially when it comes to family.

My oldest is going La Tech for his undergrad but will end up at either LSU or Tulane for medical school. My youngest is 10 and gives zero fricks about school

No kids yet, but my little brother will be going to A&M to become a neurosurgeon in a few years and I could not be more proud of him. Smartest kid I've ever known. He's already studying for it at 15.

Oldest son got his BS from Boise State and went on and got his law degree from Alabama. I had four uncles that played for Alabama in the '50s but I've been an Ole Miss fan all my life.

I can't fathom this as a Hog fan. Everyone here is a Hog fan. I would ban him from the family.

My oldest uttered the words North Carolina in reference to her early college choices. I said "No daughter of mine will ever be a Tar Heel" (obviously not an SEC school, but a big Bball rival).
