How many more losses until Auburn fires Harsin?

With all of the schools firing their head coaches this year, what’s the hold up keeping Harsin employed in Auburn? Everybody knows it’s just a matter of time, but why delay the inevitable? Hoping to get to 6 wins? When do they make the call? After Ole Miss loss or let it drag out to Arkansas or Mississippi State?

Let him get all the losses on his resume. He’s gone regardless. Let him take all the L’s.

prob going to fire him at the bye week. Need a AD first so he can get on to the next coach

Harsin might be the most lame duck HC who wasn’t an interim in SEC history

After Bama. If they beat Bama he will get two more years.

It hasn’t got to this level yet, could be close.

If they fired him today, his buyout would be about 15 million, half of which would be due within 30 days.
If they wait until after early December at seasons end, it does drop significantly. I could not find the Numbers but I heard it somewhere. I don't think they gain a significant advantage by firing him early because their most likely candidates are sitting HC's.
Recruiting may be down a bit for either way but the portal will be there for the new coach to make some quick additions and help them keep the talent level at least somewhat there. NiL, Auburn will be a player in the game with new coach so they will get transfers.

Irons Puppet has said it doesn’t matter if AU has an AD or not. That the AD isn’t calling the shots and the new HC won’t be reporting to or answering to the AD. WTH?

Those are rookie numbers. Go look what we paid Gus within 30 days of his firing.
The buyout is a non-factor.

I was of the opinion that they need an AD first, but what a shite deal as a new AD that your first act is to terminate the football coach.
And honestly, as AU, you cannot hire a new AD, then immediately start pushing him around to do things boosters want.
Terminate the coach, decide whether he coaches the rest of the season or not, then hire a competent AD, and let him make the hire. But honestly, if changes are going to be made this year, AU has a lot of work to do and time is ticking away…

Can't get any more lame duck than Ron Zook finishing the season after getting fired already

True, but without an AD in place and that I think you will go after a sitting HC, the process to replace him would not start fully until seasons end.
That's my opinion, everyone has one.
