NO one likes Bama. Seriously, lots of people have teams they like in the SEC other than their own team but no one claims Bama. Well, OK, UK basketball fans do but they don't count.

I’ve witnessed 8 of Bama’s although I have little memory of 1978 & 1979. I can vaguely recall the goal line stand against Penn State in the’79 Sugar Bowl.

You and I must be similar in age. I've been alive or seen all of those as well. I was born in 74 so those first two are pretty fuzzy and may just be memories of replays I've seen over the years.

Grew up a Bama fan and kids go there. Have seen them win it 8 times. Also watched my school win it in 1990, so 8 + 1 or 9 if that is allowed. I started keeping up with football when I was about 11 years old and have averaged celebrating a national championship about every 4 1/2 years over the last 40 years since then.
