...when Reid took the ball away from Williams? I thought it was obviously a great play by the best safety in the SEC, as Williams was bobbling the ball on the way to the ground. Reid took advantage of that and got the INT. All day long, I have been hearing from some Bama fans that it was a horrible call and cost them a 14th National Championship. Now, the fans that know the rules and such admitted it was a great call and moved on.

How do the Bammers on the SECr feel? I'm just wondering, no flame. It was a great game. However, the better team made the plays neccessary to win. Which was LSU...

Only morons think it was a bad call. It's as conclusive as they come.

It was a pick, no question about it.

My UNBIASED opinion was that it was the correct call. They did make a bad call when Kirkpatrick ran into the Honey Badger and then faked an injury.

I posted this in another thread but it is appropriate to post here.. Below is just an example of some of the crap I've been reading today... These people are morons...

" Been watching football longer than I care too.....NEVER have seen a two-handed catch by Bama, then while falling still hanging on, only to have LSU guy grab it while on ground. So now the "interception has been redfined"

Other people claim if it weren't a Bama catch then it should have been an incompletion? Really? How in the hell do you call a ball that never hits the ground a incomplete pass?

Clueless some of them are!!

Thanks.

I thought it was a great call, and just a great play. Had Maze thrown it more on a line it would've been a touchdown, they had the defense fooled and everything. It was a great call at that point in the game by Saban. But he got pressured and it caused a "floater"...

It was clearly an interception. I'm not sure anyone on here is even disputing that.

I only wish Maze had made a tighter throw to get it in ahead of Reid. Dude is faaaast.

I thought it was a good call when I watched the replay. Sucked, but it was the correct call.

No doubt, if I was a Bama fan I would completely agree.

And, like I said, it was the PERFECT call... It just didn't get executed correctly. Wasn't Maze a high school QB? I seem to remember reading that when he was being recruited.

He's faking it so Bama's kicker can get more practice time on the sidelines.

When I watched the game the first time, I thought we got away with one. But after watching it again, definitely an int and a hell of one at that.

I think it was a shitty call. Doesnt mean it was the wrong call though. I would have liked to have first and goal at the one but Im a Bama homer

I had to wait until Sunday to form an opinion because Bama WILL NOT SHOW REPLAYS on their big screens unless it is a good play by Bama. I 've never been to a stadium with 4 giant screens, but no replays unless it's a Bama highlight making play.

I agree it was a interception. Now do you think Bama tries to run the score up on the last 3 teams left to try to get style points in the case OK state and Stanford lose

You would think that they would've shown that play over and over again, seeing that it was very important...

Meh, I could maybe see that. I don't see the Iron Bowl being a blowout, though. It's the Iron Bowl, we're at home, Bama is ranked #3, etc, etc... It might be another epic game like in 09 and 10.
