McDaniels will be the HC in New England after Belicheck is done. Mullen needs a more diverse passing scheme before he has any shot at any success in the NFL. You can’t run QB power 12 times a game with a franchise QB.

How long does anyone get at a new job? It depends on a lot of factors, but it is always best to win and win quickly.

If Mullen can do something with UF's offense then he'll get a fairly long leash.

Im going to LMAO when UF comes out the gate this year strong and skull dragging SEC teams with it.

Our back seven was young and now have that extra year of snaps under their belts to be a really good defense. We have to gain around 60 yds+ a game rushing to be better, as we have been bottom dwellers in SEC rushing stats for a while now.

Offense will be better imo and that's what is needed to keep defense rested and motivated.

Not sure what is funny

People see the 4 - 7 and laugh, but don't understand that by the UAB (second to last game) game we were down 33 scholarship players.

QB: Can't be worse, everyone returned outside of Zaire and Del Rio who played maybe a combined of 3 games together.

RB: Got Scarlett back, all of our younger backs are performing really well.

WR: Healthy Cleveland, OSU Transfer (Grimes), Van Jefferson, Toney, Copeland. Toney is better than Powell but couldn't play because of injuries.

OL: Everyone came back except one.

TE: Best TE that was utilized is coming back.

DL: Lost two players (one to injury, so he only played half the year).

LB: All starters returning, two backups/potential starters come back from suspension. (We had one Walk-On Linebacker as a backup last year.)

CB: Lost Dawson, but have two really good corners (Wilson and Henderson) and Gardner-Johnson is returning to Nickelback (was playing safety due to injuries).

S: Everyone's coming back.

So yeah, that's pretty favorable. There's not a single player who will start this year who didn't, at some point in the season, start last year outside of Trask (injured last year). Then on top of that 4 suspended players at much needed positions came back. So yeah, he walked into a decent situation -- better than what McElwain walked into for the offensive side of the ball when Muschamp left.

If he recruits well, 4 years at a minimum.

If the recruiting is middle of the pack for the conference, I see 2 to 3 years. Florida and Auburn don't like embarrassments and will pull a quicker trigger than anyone else if perceptions don't appear to standard.

His first year will be his best. And then from there on he will juuuuuuuust win enough to not get shite-canned. “Relentless Effort” only applies to his players. It doesn’t involve him. He will script the first 10 or so plays of the game then you might as well bring him some popcorn and a coke because he is nothing but a spectator after that. Muffin thinks the world revolves around him running in his marathons. His second year, when he is practicing for, or running in, a marathon instead of being on the recruiting trail will send the pitchfork mobs out.

I'm guessing at least 5 years. Not going to make the McElwain mistake.

You're out of your mind, man. He's the most energetic coach we've ever had -- he literally practices with the players.

Again, maybe MSU just doesn't inspire that much because you're never going to convince someone to go to a shite school in the middle of no where with no academic or football prestige.

His tenacity at recruiting has been incredible, too, we just hosted the IMG Academy's football team for a tour.

He's only energetic when he's mad or a game comes down to a last second play.

Btw how's he the most energetic coach? He hasn't even coached one game yet for you suckers.

Shut up till he does something.

Jesus.

Those IMG kids are going to get campus tours from everyone by the time their recruitment is done.

Let’s say Mullen signs all of them. You think IMG’s senior class would be a top ten recruiting class?

Im sure there’s a way to calculate that on 247.

The fact is, a sanctioned tour by the AD is lazy recruiting.

Hitting the bricks and getting in homes and landing at hs games in a helicopter is tenacious.

They won't be touring FSU, it's nice to have that connection.

Just as an addendum: IMG is an important piece to the Florida puzzle, it's not about signing an entire class, but they have a few elite players every year.

McElwain didn't sign a single IMG kid his entire tenure at Florida.

Probably the year he lays an egg to an OOC team he had no business losing to. Maybe the third or fourth year in a row he loses to GA.

It’s gonna happen FL fans. Go ahead and look at your schedules 3 years out and find one. Somewhere there is your South Alabama lurking.

I found this:
quote:

The 2017 FSU football roster has three players, including starting quarterback Deondre Franocis and top recruit Joshua Kaindoh, who spent the last part of their high school career at what has become a football factory – as the IMG Academy, once just a training center for sports like tennis and soccer, has become a full fledged prep school near Bradenton churning out some of the top recruits in the country.

They (IMG) won't be touring FSU, it's nice to have that connection.

Do you see the shite you Florida Fans are spewing out on these threads?!?

You dont have that connection. You are building a relationship and starting that by hosting a visit.

Come on you fricks.

And you said your previous coaches didnt have that.

Like for real, You are all dumb, really really dumb.

IMG is a school and it's touring certain college campuses. Florida, Alabama, Miami and Michigan (at this point, it could change or it could have changed).

I said they weren't touring FSU, not that FSU hadn't ever received an IMG player. I said we hadn't received one. As in, Florida, who is not Florida State.

FSU not on this IMG tour contrary to reports on here. Skipping Tally.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough?

Doesnt mean that FSU doesnt have a relationship with IMG.

They have had more players go to FSU than Florida as your own posters said.

Congrats. It doesnt make you any more special because you got a damn tour.

The best kids will tour what ever damn campus they want.

Great exposure for Florida for sure, but you are making this more of a deal than what it really is.

Dude, stop drinking so early, you're retarded.

I never said that FSU had more/less connections to IMG, I said that they're being skipped by the IMG tour that Mullen secured. Having their team on campus is better than, let's say, not having them on campus? Building that bridge is very important in the state of Florida.

A football school going to Florida but not going to Florida State is important. Even FSU fans agree on this, so I'm not sure why some moron who has no idea what Florida recruiting entails thinks he knows more than both fan bases.

You were wrong, suck it up and move on.

That's nothing. What did Mac do before getting to UF that would make him more proven than Mullen?
