do all of the leg work, including vetting, possibly interviewing/talking to agents, maybe even striking a deal that doesn't get announced until end of year? you bet your arse that was happening before the season ended.

The difference between this & other coaching searches is that Bama is still trying to compete next year.
They need to get someone locked up soon so they can figure out the roster.
