Why would the union care about an army out in the sticks away from every population or industrial or trade center?

How would Richmond supply an army that far away from logistics centers?

Why wouldn't the Union not just march directly on Richmond while all of our ancestors were bumfricking around in the wilderness?

The Union wanted to rein in the CSA. The CSA should have forced the Union to come get some on out on the western front. The railroads were already established in Missouri in the 1850's and the CSA could have possibly controlled a lot of rail lines and river traffic on the Missouri and lower Mississippi. But, as I said in another post, the Union was going to prevail because the CSA didn't have the bodies to win a war of attrition.

It’s as irrelevant as your program.

Says a lot about Tenn since you get absolutely throttled every single time you come to CoMo

That's not going to force them to do anything. All that is going to do is dilute manpower when the CSA is already at a disadvantage. They can't feed the troops out there. The troops can't do anything useful. And the heart of the CSA would be exposed.
The enemy doesn't have to do what you want them to do. They get a vote, too.

The only way the CSA had a shot was to get the Union to bleed enough to quit. That's defensive maneuvers to exhaust enemy supply and fighting asymmetrically, while only taking battles at advantage.

Arkansas was way too far from the schwerpunkt, especially for the South. Now it would make sense for the Union to put a force in Illinois to take the Mississippi and that's what they did. But that's proactive maneuver, not reactive.

I'm guessing "not at all". Nobody in the Big12 cared about it except you and Kansass.

I seem to recall we sent Gary Pinkel off in style even though we had a clown running the show.

And Pruitt, another clown, beat you at Faurot in 2019.

You got blown out in 2021.

Congrats, you won in 2023. Only win you’ve gotten against us since Dorkwitz signed on.

That makes you slightly better than Vandy and Kentucky. Rarefied air to be sure.

The SEC doesn’t care about the 2 big 12 teams involved in their little rivalry.

As far as I’m concerned, you and the trash you brought with you are visitors in our conference.

Go back to the b12 with this shite

Auburn would know trash, looking at how they operate their AD and how much they like to play with toilet paper.

I heard it’s a hell of a rivalry in the Big 8. Mizzou wins this one and they have a good shot at winning the conference this year.

Actually I'm not a fan of restoring the silly rivalry. Personally I wouldn't have scheduled them due to them being woosies when we left for the SEC. At that time they whined incessantly, and took their ball and went home. No reason to ever play them again, except for their desire to be televised.
