Nyck Harbor > Braylon Staley
Dylan Stewart >>> Jordan Norman

I guess reality is hard at Tennessee.

This is wildly misinformed

Braylon Staley isn't our best wide receiver. That would be Mike Matthews. Nyck Harbor isn't even listed in the top 100 most productive receivers through this point in the season. He has 278 yards and 2 TDs. Matthews is listed at #58 in the top 100. He leads Harbor in every receiving category and he's had to play through the worst quarterback situation in the conference. Which has significantly impacted his and Staley's production. Matthews finished last season with 813 yards & Staley finished with 837 yards as the #2 and #3 receivers. Harbor finished with 618 yards as your #1.

In no reality is Harbor the best WR on the field.

And Jordan Norman isn't even starting on the DL. Where are you coming up with this stuff?

Tyree Weathersby has 6.5 sacks / 8 TFL
Xavier Gilliam has 5 sacks / 10.5 TFL / 2 FF
Marion Dye has 4 sacks / 5 TFL / 1 FF

Those 3 alone have as many sacks as your entire team combined.

Dylan Stewart has 1 sack through 3 games this year. He had 4.5 sacks & 11 TFL in 2025. We have 2 guys that have more production through 7 games than Dylan Stewart has had going back to 2025 & a 3rd guy that's neck and neck with.

His measurables are elite, but his production has been pedestrian compared to his elite ranking coming out of HS.

I disagree on the line but it’ has “trap game” written all over it and considering the way the season has gone it’s quite possible for a let down game for UT…see UGA last week

Most of this is a really good post except the end. The turnover battle really had minimal impact on the result. Sometimes those turnovers are the difference, they weren't last Saturday. Alabama couldn't move the ball at all.

The better argument is that UT really should have won a lot more convincingly on the scoreboard than they actually did.

Losers talk stats. I'm talking pure physical talent.

I stand by my post and will see where folks are drafted for my answers.

I mean Tennessee leads the nation in sacks and just had 5 against a top 5 scoring offense. I think we're alright along the DL.

"SC actually looks like they should be good. NFL looking players. Not sure what the issue is."

South Carolina and FSU are the same team. Change my mind.

Not sure what the issue is.

Oline is bad, qb can’t read a defense, and pass coverage is suspect. Good dline, average rb room, good wr room. If sellers can run on you it negates the oline issues and allows receivers and run game to do work. If he can’t the wr room is moot and oline issues become magnified. They’ll be a problem for some teams and an easy W for others.

UT hasn’t played like they did against Bama since ..well…2 years ago when Bama went there. Everyone knows Ut isn’t nearly as good as they looked. I would take South Carolina by a TD.

In the most literal sense, you have no idea what you're talking about.

You listed 2 players who aren't even the best at their position on our team when making your uninformed roster comparisons. One who doesn't even start. It would have taken you 3 seconds to google it & didn't even do that

2 of the 3 guys you're trying to pass off as the best players on the field have:

DL - 1 Sack (5.5 sacks going back to 2025)
WR - 278 yards and 2 TDs

Nyck Harbour is a mid tier SEC WR at best & Dylan Stewart's production at South Carolina has never lived up to his ranking coming out of HS. He's been good. He hasn't been elite. Maybe he will be in the NFL.

Looking forward to it.

Or maybe I do, and we just aren't talking about the same thing nor have the same motivation in the conversation. Stop and think about that for just a few seconds.....

After reading the Mensa's view on this board saying UT is gonna win easy, gonna have to take a hard look at SC. Line has hardly budged.

South Carolina is in a good spot with Tennessee coming off a huge emotional W. SCe has the talent and run game to win the game. All comes down to execution.

They out-talent you, big time.

trap game

Folks, a team cannot be an underdog in a 'trap game'. A trap game is specifically a game where the trapee is favored. Tennesse is not favored.

Post the slip.

Overall, maybe. These three specific players, no, they don't.

I would be more worried about this game if we were favored. I actually like that everybody is picking South Carolina. I think Tennessee comes out motivated

Half of this is right, the other half is garbage.

OL has been a strength this year, particularly in the run game. RB room is well-stocked, and leads the SEC in avg yards/game with one fewer game played than UTK. Sellers has been in his 3rd offense in 3 years, and the flickered against UK, and went full on against UF. WR room is a concern due to the drops; it's probably average on a good day. Secondary is dogshit. DLine is stout, particularly against the run.

The real issue with SC this year is that the defense under White has lived off of turnovers. They hadn't been generating them early in the season, but finally got a couple against UF. If SC can force UTK into playing catchup, I don't think UTK has the offense to score enough points. It UTK controls clock, ball, tempo, etc, they win. If SC gets a 3 score lead, I don't think UTK can get back in it like State or UK did.

SC can score points. Briles has been very good this year. Gonna be an interesting battle against UTK's defense.

Conversely, I think the VOLS come out flat and lay a total dud in Columbia. Big emotional win for the VOLS + coming off a BYE for SC + Veteran QB + Heupel’s track record = Cocks by 14.
