Which is why BK beat Nick Saban’s Alabama team in his 1st year, while Alabama had the eventual #1 and #3 draft picks on the field, on his way to the SECCG.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman has lost to 2 unranked non-p4 opponents at home and Florida fans are celebrating Sunbelt Billy’s 3rd consecutive season with at least 5 losses

Freeman took care of business this year. He was building the program while getting experience. Beat Texas A&M and USCw. The same two teams that BK couldn't get it done against those two unranked teams. Plus Florida and Sunbelt Billy did beat LSU and BK. That isn't a good look for LSU and BK.

Notre Dame is not any better with Marcus Freeman than they were with Brian Kelly.

They got a very weak side of the bracket. Penn State? C'mon. Texas, Ohio State, Oregon all beat them.

Notre Dame did beat Georgia. That same team beat Texas twice! By the way how many times did BK as the LSU HC beat Kirby as the UGA HC?

How much of this is other teams are actually playing down to Notre Dame’s level instead of ND actually being good. Nothing they do or have done is ground breaking. In fact, it’s quite pedestrian considering their best win entering the playoffs was Army.

Name one team this year you’ve looked at In the Same light as previous playoff winners.

BK as the LSU HC couldn't beat USCw, Texas A&M, and Florida! Freeman at Notre Dame took care of Business by beating USCw and Texas A&M to make it to the playoffs. If BK had taken care of business by beating USCw and Texas A&M, LSU would be in the playoffs.

Oh boy.

Someone got Kelly's stalker fired up.

I understand why you want to believe that, but In reality Texas was not tested with their easy schedule. Your 3 toughest games you lost.

look what they did to Tennessee and Oregon.

Ohio State basically pushed reset after the Michigan loss and stopped believing that they could just show up and win.

I think we need to pump the brakes on the greatness of Marcus Freeman. He's done a very good job at ND but again, Brian Kelly got to a NC as well and made the CFP several times. Let's allow some time pass before we start anointing him the GOAT

He doesn't really believe it. He's just trolling LSU fans.

The weird TrueLefty obsession with LSU's football coach is confounding.

Biggest difference to me is that Freeman seems to instill a more cohesive team culture. Kelley sh@t on his players constantly in the media and so many of them expressed their dislike of the guy after they left South Bend. .

And I don't think the Kelley Nattie appearance is equivalent. His team was sputtering into the BCS finale and anointed by the media while Freeman's squad has handily beat top top 10 teams including the #2 ranked SEC champ Georgia.

Maybe Ohio State completely humiliates ND in the title game like Kelley's squad was humiliated by a vastly superior Bama squad and I reconsider my opinion but as of now Freeman's 2024 achievements are more impressive than anything Kelley produced in his career.

AI is getting pretty clever with BK jokes:

Why did Brian Kelly take the LSU job?

Because he wanted to go from fighting Irish to fighting for survival in the SEC!

After a 5 win season for the good guys, its fun to laugh.

In what universe does this Freeman coached ND team come within two scores of 2018 Clemson or 2020 Alabama?

I agree

I think he’s overrated

I watch him on the sidelines and it appears “to me”
That he’s not fully engaged.

Like I think I could put a headset on and do what he does on the sideline

I do realize that game time coaching is only one part of a HC job

Good lord. Freeman would turn them into the next Bama. Let's hope BK stays as long as possible.
