Top 10, not the best

Well, they did win the Joe Moore award which goes to the best offensive line in the country

So that tells me that the award is very subjective

I think they were above average, but not great. Scheme and Burrow sliding in the pocket hid deficiencies.

Some of these comments are ridiculous
So we just looking at it from a pass blocking stand point? Their run blocking was off the charts and with the number of times we threw the ball they were very good! Best OL award winning good!

Yes, Burrow's ability to slide and move in the pocket helped a lot but so does Drew Brees and his OL is always considered at the top if not the best!

All awards voted on by a group of people are subjective, but it still goes down in the history books that LSU's OL for the 2019 season was the best in the country. That's just how it is.

Watching Auburn play both Oregon and LSU last season I didn't see much that would elevate either one over the other. They were certainly the two best Auburn played (maybe Minnesota but it's hard to judge bowl games) so I could see where either of the 2 schools could have an argument, but it was officially LSU as voted on by the Joe Moore Award selection group.

I mean they can have the award but no one is going to consider them the best O-line in 2019

They were good & held up when they needed to, but I wouldn’t say they were amazing.

Salty about what? It’s pretty clear the LSU didn’t have the best OL last year

Based on what? We took a grad transfer QB that was buried on tOSU depth chart and threw for more TDs than any team in CFB. Our 3 star RB ran for more TDs than any RB in the SEC (16), had over 1400 yards rushing and averaged 6.6 ypc.

You don't do that if your OL isn't performing at an elite level.

I never said LSU’s O-line wasn’t elite. I just don’t think it was the best in CFB. And honestly you using your O-line as the reason Burrow threw so many TDs is hilarious. They gave up 29 sacks on the season and would have given up over double that with any other QB

Let's be honest, outside of generally seeing who is awful and who is really good, 95% of college football fans can't tell the difference between a bunch of solid offensive lines - especially with modern offenses.

You can tell if teams can't open holes running and you can tell if teams are just getting beat by pass rush, but everything in between is very difficult to compare and contrast.

I appreciate all the honest input. Just wanted to hear from the LSU guys since they watch every game.

I appreciate the discussion from all.

The Auburn take as especially interesting since they played Oregon and LSU.

I mean, a group of people whose job it is to decide who was the best OL in CFB already said they were...

Good for them. Even LSU fans don’t consider them the best OL
