According to the SECr Les Miles is retarded and a Larry Coker clone so I imagine we'll be just fine

Well LSU has already been on an extremely slow, steady decline since 2005. It's quite obvious

Both programs will be fine. I think Bama takes a slight dip due to the fact that their current level of success is quickly becoming legendary.

When Patterson leaves TCU for a better job, will the Horned Frogs still be able to go 7-5?

Maybe, maybe not. That will be his call, not yours or mine. I'm sure you were one of the LSU fans screaming that he would never stay at Bama more than 3-4 years in 2007 too, weren't you? How's that prediction working out for you corndogs?

I couldn't care how long he has been there, I bet you're one of those bamtards that think he left LSU to go to bama right?
See how easy that is..

How far do Bama/LSU fall when Saban/Miles retire?
I think the real question should be how far Texas falls when Saban retires.
LSU is already on the decline with a good chance of not even having a winning season this year.

Do they still stay at the top of the SEC or do they fall off a cliff like LSU did in the 90's and Bama in the early 2000's? If I had to pick, I would say Bama staying at the top(Unless probation) due to their history and money. LSU on the other hand I think would stumble until they got lucky again and found a diamond in the rough like Miles.
The same question was prob asked when Saban left LSU.

SECr Logic:
LSU has a retard for a coach and it's really making them underachieve. A monkey can coach and be successful at LSU with all the talent in the state.
LSU will crumble when Les leaves.

Do you even know how to read? Almost everyone on this thread is saying LSU will not have a drop-off when Les leaves.

Why is that funny? The guy is 61 and healthy. His contract runs into the 2020's. He has said many times that his job is football coach, his hobby is football. In his down time he sits at home and breaks down game film. He genuinely enjoys it. He has said he gets bored playing golf or fishing. The guy isn't going to just hit 65 and go sit on a dock at a lake until he dies, just not him. And with guys like Bowden and now Spurrier showing you can coach at the highest levels well into your late 60's and 70's, another decade really isn't that much of a stretch. Heck, could even be longer if he stays healthy. He isnt going anywhere any time soon....DWI
You may be right.
BTW, I didn't even realize he drinks.

So now LSU is going to fall apart when Miles LEAVES? I thought we were already in DECLINE because Miles is so stupid and that anyone could win here?
So funny.

I didn't realize Saban was 61.
He seems like a pretty intense guy, a belichick type if you will. When you're THAT intense and THAT hardcore about coaching football at a program like that, I'd imagine the pressure and stress would cause anyone to tap out earlier than they wanted to.
That's the only reason I think Nick would have to hang it up prior to another 10 year mark at Bama.

Funny part is everyone of these fans debating the Miles/Saban effect would all cut off body parts to have either coach their teams. Its really a moot point both men have created extremely strong programs they can pick and choose to pay anything they want to asst coaches and other national coaches look to these jobs as the cream of the crop.

Can you imagine him being content sitting around the house? I can't at any age. Plus he looks like he's aging pretty well for a 61 year old. It doesn't appear that his intensity has had that much of a negative impact on him physically so far.
