Not in the real world lil fella. I make sure when I talk to people here in Miami, especially professionals, that they realize AU is nothing like UA. Try to distance myself as far as possible from the mouthbreathing Updyke hoard.
You keep thinking it is anything other than an embarrassment for AU to be associated with UA in most cases if you want though.

I'm sure he publicly says they are great and privately is like "wtf is this redneck bitch thinking wanting me to sign her half dead infant"

Auburn students lately have attempted to put out this bullshite vibe, they view themselves and want people to view them as this small little academic school in West Georgia. Essentially a private school.
It's all complete bullshite. Auburn until like 5 years was larger than Alabama, it's a large public agricultural school that's easy to get into like any other large public school. It's the ag school of Alabama, nothing more.

am sure this is true and definitely a plus for Saban. Like I said, 30% of the fanbase are awesome fans and great people. The other 70% not so much.
FIFY
I'd further qualify the statement that of the 70% "not so much" crowd, half of those people are decent, fairly well rounded people who don't bother others. The other half (35%) of the fanbase are the ones Clay Travis is truly talking about. Granted, that 35% is loud and obnoxious and often times acts bats### crazy but it's a more accurate number imho. It's just more entertaining to wildly exaggerate the percentages the way CT did.

Everybody overestimates what "the rest of the country" thinks. Most of the "rest of the country" barely gives Auburn any thought, no more so than they give Oregon State or Purdue or Georgia Tech a lot of thought. They give Bama more thought, obviously, but only because Bama is the dominant football program of the last few years. They also give varying degrees of thought to places like Oregon and Ohio State and LSU...because these programs are relevant. So, yeah, Bama gets somewhat more negative publicity than, say, Auburn, for the same reason anybody gets any sort of publicity -- people care enough to talk about them.

Saban to the Mecca. Allah is fricked.

Actually it is more of a science, technology, engineering, and vetinary medicine school with higher admission standards than a more common school like UA. AU students have always known and "put out the vibe" that bama is beneath us.

Many of them are also convinced it is common knowledge to the rest of the country and world that Auburn is vastly superior academically to Alabama as if Stanford, Vandy, Northwestern, or Princeton is being compared to Alabama instead of the practically identical academic peer that they are.

Well, I can agree here and yes my percentages were exagerated.

I imagine he's appreciative of the support.

After reading the Clay Travis article and the Bama Nation's responses, I wonder if Saban is ever embarrassed or fearful of his own fan-base. I have to imagine that he has had some uncomfortable encounters.
Well, since Clay Travis is THE authority on Alabama I guess we have to listen to him

He's from West Virginia so he probably thinks we are too good for him and he needs to earn our respect everyday.

It's amazing how nobody who ranks academic institutions have discovered that vibe. You act like you're the only ag school which emphasizes math and engineering over liberal arts. You are essentially Mississippi State with slightly more name recognition. The fact that you think anyone sees you otherwise is hilarious.

It would not surprise me if he is uncomfortable with the GUMP fanbase

The first part is true, the bolded part not so much. Identical admission standards. In fact, this is probably the single biggest and most universally popular and fraudalent myth perpetrated by Auburn people.

And have been ignorant in doing so.
As long as we're keeping score, Alabama people are arrogant about our football towards Auburn people when there are obvious documented facts to back up that arrogance while Auburn people are arrogant towards Alabama people in regards to academics when all the evidence shows the schools are practically identical in quality. Which fanbase is out of touch with reality again?
