Worst performance of the season and it isn’t even close. But at least the game isn’t over

I’m very concerned with our pitching besides smith. Our bats got hot - but we’re at home and we were playing SEMO so who knows. Definitely glad we ended up winning game 1 though from a stats perspective.

Meh .... too many errors, as usual.

Pitching is good but not deep.

We can hit single run hrs like it's nothing, but can't get a base hit to save our lives.

We might win the Natty..
if we had an Ace..
if we had a better pitching coach..
if we faced teams that don’t throw their Ace..
if we score 12 runs a game..
if we score more runs than the other team..

Ask me tomorrow and i’ll have a different answer.

Late inning heroics are fun but somewhat concerning when they're needed in every game. Gotta love the Little Monster, though. Moving rapidly up my all-time favorite Tiger rankings.

Even though UCSB scored 9 runs, it felt like we left too many on base. And sloppy fielding is concerning; three errors led to five unearned Fresno runs. Have to clean it up if we're to advance out of our regional.

Crowd was great.

I remember pre BB-Core when y’all used to absolutely crush it. Cresse was my favorite LSU player as a kid.

We still suck. Without Cole Messina we're not a tournament team.

State played well. We were facing one of those underrated pitchers from a good Big East program.

Virginia has pitching problems. If we can win tonight, we should be able to advance to Fayetteville to replay one of the best SEC series of the year.

Liked our bats, worried about pitching. Used way too many pitchers against SEMO. After smith pitches tonight, who will step up against a hot hitting team?

I was more concerned about our pitching unit I saw that SEMO hit the ball so well today. They are a good hitting team. I was very happy with our hitting. We’ll need to score early from here on out or we are in trouble. Waiting until the 5th inning isn’t going to get it done, imo.
