The Texas arrogance and results on the field don't match. Arkansas isn't scared of them and it will be ironic watching them complain to the SEC office that ref so and so cheated. It will be fun watching Texas and the SEC office hash it out.

I have no reservations with Texas or OU joining the conference.

For the first time in history Arkansas will be in a conference with all four of our historical "rivals" in Texas, Texas, A&M, LSU, and Ole miss. I am not sure who we will play annually or not, but either way this is the first time ever and this is really exciting! I am happy with the idea of playing Texas every year (hopefully) and Oklahoma regularly if not annually. Most of Razorback Nation feels this way.

How this will effect recruiting will be what I am most interested to see. I believe this will only improve our natural recruiting ground and networks. The structure of our schedule (pods, divisions) will effect this obviously, but mostly I feel very positive about this.

The schedule structure is what I am most worried about. Some of the proposed pods seem great, but most of us will have to deal with giving up annual rivalries which is never fun. but moving forward the rivalries that a retained or built will be legit.

Screw Texas. I like the idea of playing them, but don't like their politics . The media will hype them up and overate them as always. I don't believe Texas will be as big of a problem on the field as most expect - IMO. I cannot wait until they realize this and are getting beat regularly by just about all of us.

I welcome OU with a gentleman's handshake and a round of ale.

If the TX pipeline were to be shut off for LSU (which is unlikely), it wouldn't hurt us as much as people think.

It won't hurt LSU much. The pipeline will just get squeezed some. It's just more competition in a secondary recruiting area. There is plenty of homegrown talent in LA. It's much worse for aggie though.

Much more focused on our benefits. The recruiting thing is just bonus.

Beating both in one season would be heaven on earth.

Should raise recruiting amongst the entire middle class. Those schools will simply be the better option not named Ohio St ND UM or USC

I'm perfectly happy with both of them coming over. I'd much rather play Texas and OU due to geography(OU) and history(Texas).

By that logic Oklahoma is creating "disunity" as well. The only school that seems to be losing their minds over this is A&M.

The super conferences and getting away from the NCAA is probably the end game for the SEC and all of college football, so I think it's good for the conference as a whole to be on the ground floor of this and have 2 prestigious schools asking to join instead of the other way around. I'm not sure it will really effect Arkansas one way or the other right now. Until we pull our head out of our arse, it doesn't matter who's in the conference. We'd have had a losing record in the Sun Belt over the last 10 years. The fan base will love playing Texas again every year, and possibly having another really close road game is good.

It’s the way of the world and if the world is going that way you might as well do it big.

Texas has a lot of conferences blood on it’s hands but I have a hard time believing they’ll over power the SEC

What hurt us when we left the SEC is we stopped playing Texas teams except SMU which provided zero benefits. If you look at the teams during the 90s, it was devoid of Texas players. This was critical because the internet didn't exist for public use and you could barely watch any games on tv. The other option was going to the games which destroyed our exposure in Texas as we just completely cut ties until the early 00s.

The Arkansas/Texass rivalry will be great. Tired of these forced SEC rivalries. Everyone in the conference will hate Texass quickly.

I really think this is a bad deal for OU. It’s going to knock their football program down a peg or two.

Being 50 I hate Texas more than any team. Living on the Oklahoma border I hate them about as much. That being said I would love to play them every year.

They won't because they aren't going to tell the Bama schools what to do. That is one of the reasons I voted yes as it will balance everything out and both sides will be screwed from time to time.

Arkansas is an afterthought and so isolated in the SEC. We are far enough that we don't interact at all with rival fans and thus are indifferent a bout them. It makes sense financially that Arkansas made the move to the SEC but geographically it doesn't make as much sense. But Arkansas was willing to sacrifice familiarity and leave the past behind to join a more successful conference.

This is a big part of many of us being ok/happy about it as well. We go from an odd outlier geographically to being in the center of the new western region. It makes us fit much better in a conference after being on the edges in both the SEC/SWC.

It does and I don't know why some hog fans are so pessimistic a bout it. We finally have some games circled on the calendar that we can look forward to as both teams are fun to hate on.

Texass feels far superior to all other schools. Big time money, they are. Avid fans, sure. But they kill conferences.
I said it earlier, there is a reason Colorado, Nebraska, A&M, and we bolted from the Big 12. We knew within 10 or 12 years, the Big 12 would implode.
But here is my honest opinion, going back to our Big 12 days: Oklahoma is far, far superior to Texass in absolutely everything!

I'm excited about playing Texas (most likely) every year and Oklahoma often

Also, if we don't have to play Bama every year that'll be nice lol
