One thing I’ve noticed is Kirby works the hell out of the refs on every play. It is effective.

Clearly the refs are in Saban's pocket

Well, he was looking for defensive pass interference and clearly that didn’t happen

Refs subconsciously help out teams that are way behind. It's a pretty common thing in sports unfortunately. Probably just a part of human nature.

I'm sure there were missed calls everywhere, but the bigger question is do you actually believe the refs were kind to UGA yesterday?

Do you believe that if one team has 12 penalties and the other team has 11 penalties that the refs were being "kind" to the 11 penalty team? Because that's what you are implying with this reply.

I give officials a lot of hell and one of my buddies is an official. He talked me into becoming one this year.

It’s amazing that the amount of work that goes into being an official. It’s also a lot fun

you had half the penalty yards of bama and you had 2 TD drives saved by penalties called on 4th down plays. yes, the refs were kind to georgia

Well that's not what happened last night.

Alabama was penalized 10 times for 90 yards.

Georgia was penalized 6 times for 50.

This is also not indicative of bad officiating. There were bad calls on both sides. It looked to be a fairly well officiated game outside of that play in the OP. Y'all are correct. That was egregious. It's hard to believe they missed that. I mean, I'm not real sure what people are looking for when they post threads like this. Confirmation?

Ok. That was a bad call.

Strange in light of Alabama winning the game. You want a do over? because I'm all for it.

How did they miss the most blatant facemask of all time in the first quarter as well?

But that's unimportant. More importantly, how does an official miss this on the literal go ahead touchdown to win the game:

#5 appears to be pushing off with his left hand. Happened entire game but was only called on UGA.
