Tuscaloosa quits selling beer at 2am.
College station quits playing games by Wednesday.

college station is a soviet architecture paradise, place is ugly, and they got to make up every tradition in the world to make students forget they are living in such a dump
other than that, its all good
other than that, its all good

Never been to Tuscaloosa but CS is flat, in the middle of nowhere and buildings straight out of the Soviet Union.
PFT Commenter (pardon my take podcast) said yesterday Tuscaloosa is like Paris compared to CS.

College Station is booming and a typical college town

City of College Station is only one part of the overall population.
And the same thing with Tuscaloosa. The metro is 253,000
Both are just college towns. Simple as that.

In terms of real estate. A&M campus is HUGE
Alabama is just under 2000 acres. But it’s more of an urban campus. As much as one can be in college town of 100,000.
Texas A&M is 5000 acres. How much of that is all adjoined? Since you’re an agricultural school I’m sure you have holdings elsewhere.

Yeah I don't think Tuscaloosa is nice, but it's got more soul than College Station. College Station is probably less gritty than Tuscaloosa, but that comes with it being arguably the blandest town in the SEC

Now do fake and retroclaimed national titles.
I still think Tussy leads that one too.

Are you sure this is accurate? They keep adding on in areas that were corn fields just 10 years ago without a gas station in sight. Its unreal how much its grown.

I don’t believe everything on the internet but that’s what it told me. But I’ve also been to your campus a few times. And it doesn’t seem any larger than Alabama to me. But like I said, you’re an agriculture school. I’m sure you’ve got maybe other holdings.

The 5200 acres is just the College Statiom campus. But you are correct, a lot of that is not traditional campus.
A&M houses a lot of research facilities, and a number of State Agencies that fall under A&M's umbrella as the land grant university. All part of the campus, but not really for students or college life.
