No, it's not.

No, they don't. Tuscaloosa is wildly different than College Station, as are the universities in the respective towns.

College Station does have a part of the campus which is considered "Hallowed Ground". No one is allowed to walk on it. Just saying, FWIW.

No comparison. CS is a shite hole. Lived there 2.5 yrs and hated every minute. It does have good food and nice, albeit extremely weird, people, but no comparison to Tuscaloosa. Been to very few cities that CS is better than(Detroit, Tijuana, Hades…)

Bryan isn't just nearby. Bryan and College Station directly border one another. The only way you know you're moving between the two is the signposts along the roads that say "Entering Bryan, Leaving College Station" or vice versa. There is absolutely no separation between the two.

Birmingham is 60 miles from Tuscaloosa.

Good Lord, tigger.

Tuscaloosa is an hour from Birmingham.

Bryan and College Station are essentially a single city, sharing something like ten miles of common city limit boundary.

I lived in Bryan for almost 5 years and a few months in College Station. They're connected but different

Bryan is much older, feels like home, and people move their to raise a family

College Station is booming and a typical college town. The shopping centers, bars, restaurants, and hotels are being built at an alarming rate

In Bryan, you can have your trash can by your garage. In College Station, it has to remain inside the garage unti trash pick day. College Station is VERY VERY strict on what they allow city wide. They won't allow places like "Joe's Crab Shack" because they think the outside looks trashy. There are no billboards or strip joints in College Station either. They keep the city very clean and put together better than most cities you come across

Tuscaloosa has Northport, and the Tuscaloosa metro population is 235,000, so they’re very similar in size.

I honestly did not know this. I've been in Tuscaloosa a few times, but not enough to know what the whole area looks like. I guess they are pretty similar in population Thanks.

Neither comes close to probably the best, most beautiful college town in the country,

I’ve been to both. It’s about the same. Small town with only one thing, a university .

People who live in College Station generally consider the northeast part of the city to be the safest.

Numerous times over, Kiplinger has ranked College Station as one of the nation's best places to raise a family because of its low crime rates, affordable housing and top-ranked school system.

With a crime rate of 39 per one thousand residents, Tuscaloosa has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 25.

These are facts no one should ignore. I think it’s safe to say college station is a better place than Tuscaloosa.

The objectivity of the LSU fan.

I have not traveled to Tuscaloosa, but have attended a couple of games in Baton Rouge. LSU campus is nice. Probably nicer than most of our campus (though we do have a few beautiful areas). Baton Rouge is a festering boil on the arse of the ugliest chick you know, while College Station is a nice college town. I suppose each has its appeal, huh?
