Why do people post shite like this? If you want to talk about "overall athletic program," Texas has literally won the Director's Cup the last last two years for best athletic program in the country.

You're assuming this is a rational market with open information. Imo it's very possible to have crazy outliers because no one knows what "market rate" is in this wild west period.

The other funny (or is it sad) thing is that they committed to Bama to play for OL coach Kyle Flood (and OC Sark), both of whom left for Texas weeks after signing day.
It's an absolute mess. It'll impact all schools and the net is that there will be no loyalty and it'll suck. Imagine if every NFL player was a free agent every year. You'd never care about any players bc none would be around long enough!
The challenge is that these are kids so I'd hate to prevent them from transferring if they're truly unhappy, want to be closer to home, etc. The real problem is the tampering imo. Without that, you probably wouldn't see guys risk the portal unless they were really unhappy or vastly underpaid. Still would suck a little, but would be a lot better.
Unfortunately, the NCAA clearly has zero ability to enforce tampering. Not sure why since the NFL/NBA/MLB do it.

Yeah they already bought a coach from FSU. They chose poorly.
For real. They already have the top 2 Safeties in the country, do they really need #3?

Get Jackson and we're solid at DB. Toviano would be gravy. Brown and Sampson is a sick duo at WR if it happens. Not sure why anyone is whining.

I'm not so sure this is technically a violation. You can reference making money off NIL in general (ie "we have tons of corporations in town who pay our players a lot of money"), you just can't explicitly offer deals.

It really is pretty unbelievable for a school that's so obsessed with sports. I mean freaking Rice, UofH and Texas Southern had already done it multiple times!

He's been the QB coach for like 7 first round picks (idk the exact number, but it's a lot).
Fun fact - this is A&M's first top 4 finish in baseball, basketball, or football since WWII (using playoffs when they existed and BCS/AP otherwise).
