OSU lost to a VT team with a losing record and won a championship. Pitt beat Clemson, who also won a championship. Ole miss beat UF and bama in years each team won a championship. It’s almost like upsets happen in college football, almost.

Kirby ran it up the middle on 1st and 2nd down 9 consecutive series. Mostly against 7, 8 or 9 man fronts. Shockingly, it did not work. Kirby still thinks it should have if it was executed better

This. Fromm had one of his worst outings in heavy rain the entire game. The weather was probably the biggest factor neutralizing our speed advantage. Our best receiver, Cager, was out with an injury and Fromm couldn't complete passes to our other receivers. So SC basically stacked the box and stuffed our running game.
Finally, the game went to OT and Hotrod had an uncharacteristic miss of a routine FG to lose the game. It was literally a perfect storm that led to an embarrassing loss at home. Frankly, it reminded me all too well of the Richt era.

It was nice and sunny when we played SCAR. The downpour happened against UK.

Georgia's offense is pretty stagnate. I was at the game in Athens last weekend and wasn't impressed with their WRs or Fromm. Mizzou's DL got zero pressure and Fromm still was under 50% completion.
Only thing I can say about last weekend's game...and I was there, too, BTW...is that maybe they were emotionally flat after winning against UF the previous week. That's all I got.

By scoring less points than them. Undefeated in regulation!

Georgia had four turnovers and Hot Rod missed a FG. All of that was bad enough but the final nail was a pick six in the fourth quarter, don't remember how much time was left at that time.
As has been pointed out before, SC always gives Georgia a good game. They will roll over and play dead against App St but they come to play when they play Georgia, which is a compliment to Georgia. That is the kind of program SC has.

The pick six happened in the 2nd quarter shortly before halftime.

A team that just lost to App St?

Dang, I could have sworn it was in the 4th. I guess I was trying to forget the disaster that day.

That's the reason UGA will have no case for getting in the playoffs. You don't lose to a team like Scar and expect to get in.
LSU beats UGA in Atlanta and opens the door for the LSU Bama rematch

Jake Fromm dropped a snap in the red zone and SC recovered.
Jake Fromm threw a pick 6 that he tried to throw out of bounds
Receiver ran wrong route and SC intercepted a pass
Ball was passed and went through receivers hands and SC intercepted
Perfect storm fluke.
