How depressing will it be if Texas plays Georgia again and Texas wins

It could happen. I hope it doesn't. It would be too much to take.

Texas improved in the 2nd game and could have won it.

Who knows how much they would improve by the 3rd game with Georgia QB2 in and Sark and Ewers getting yet another chance.

How depressing would it be if Texas wins only 1 of 3 games where it would be the only game these two play against each other that counts.

The other two would be forgotten completely.

That would be a horrible gut punch to Georgia fans

It's very hard to beat a team 3 times in basketball, it would seem to be just as hard in football.

I would not put the odds in Georgia's favor.

But otoh, if Georgia beats Texas 3 times in one season ...

That would be even more painful.

I don’t see myself becoming too depressed with such a scenario…

I might be biased, but..

Counterpoint.

How freaking awesome would it be to beat Texas 3 times in a single season, including the SEC and national championships?

The risk/reward is definitely high.

They’ll lose before then. Too weak on the OL to make it through OSU or Oregon imo.

Dude, the entire system that’s now in place is intentionally pro football. And, that means playing teams multiple times.

Sark held back the Arch package.. but showed it for 1 play to see how Kirby would defend it and hoping he would burn his timeout.

I thought it was coming this week, but Sark saved it for the important game, if it is played.

Idk I mean I don’t think Texas is a bad team but there’s also nothing to show that they’re a great team.

The playoffs will be very interesting since Texas played a pretty bad schedule this year and again, I think Texas is a solid team but who knows how good they actually are with that schedule. The one good team they played they’ve been absolutely dominated in the trenches both times. Line play is usually what wins championships.

One day it will be like that.

But right now, it's the worst of both worlds.

I would put the odds definitely in GA's favor to win a 3rd time

Nothing Texas has shown in 2 games that makes me believe they can put up enough points

You could be right, but I know you're wishcasting here. For reasons OP pointed out, you want no part of a 3rd game w Texas.

That UT chip would come with a YUGE asterisk if beating a team 1/3 times in a season gives them the championship over the other team.

I mean, I’m biased, but it’d be really problematic for the CFP format.

Texas only needs a field goal.

You scored 30 the first time.

Next you scored 16.

You're on track to score 2 points next time.
