Admittedly idgaf about UGA but I loath Clemson and their douchy fans. This is more of an expected schadenfreude on my part.

I am not overly confident. We can beat them, but both teams seem to have glaring weaknesses. First game of the year? Eh. I have no idea.

If Justyn Ross is recovered, he could be one of the top WRs in the country. They have a few other guys expected to bust out this year.

It'll come down to Clemson’s Dline v OGA Oline

Don't see Clemson running the ball well at all. Their new QB will need to play lights out if they want to win. On the other hand, UGA will be breaking in a young OL. I'm guessing we don't run the ball all that well but I have faith in Monken and JT to figure something out. I'm 60 pct confident because they are breaking in a new QB and RB. You can't replace guys like Etienne and Lawrence.

It almost evens out when you consider our DLine against their OLine. It will be a very interesting game. I think they've earned the benefit of the doubt, and we have not at this time.

UGA had trouble running against Cincy. Clemson is probably still pissed off about being blown out by OSU. I think it’s a close game and give Clemson a slight nod solely on the fact that they have won more big games than UGA over the last several years.

With questions on both defenses, whomever turns the ball over the least wins.

As has already been said, it is a matchup of the OLs and DBs (as pressure will probably dictate turnovers)

Fair point. Both teams might be very vulnerable in the secondary, this being the first game. Whichever Dline can dominate will win the game.

I can’t wait for this one. I'll be pulling for you guys because of JT.

I have a nephew-in-law (is that a thing? A guy married my niece) from California and is a huge USCw fan. He seems to like Daniel, too.

Pretty confident if you can stop Clemson from stealing your signals. Do that and you will put 40 plus on them.

Maybe running game will end up playing a big factor?

If it comes down to the running game, I'll take UGA over Clemson all day. Etienne is a huge loss for them and the other guys are not as good as UGA's stable of backs.

Not at all, but I do think that new QB is getting too much hype

I think he'll ultimately be better than Lawrence

Lawrence is good, but one of the more overrated prospects in the last decade IMO. Folded pretty much every time he faced an actual opponent sans 44-16.

I think losing TL will be a big loss for them and the dirty Dawgs roll.

DJU is fantastic. He only had 439 yards and 2 TDs with no picks against Notre Dame when TL was out.

They beat Ohio State before he had a bad game against LSU.

I'll be curious to see that offense without a QB who is a true running threat. They've had 3 guys at QB for the last 7 years who were true running threats in Watson, 1 year of Bryant and Lawrence. From everything I've read, DJU is not a running threat at all. He's a big dude who isn't a statue, but he's not a read option make a play guy.

Clemson's offense is so simplistic that I have to imagine it will look quite a bit different without that QB running threat. They've got great skill dudes and DJU has an absolute cannon, so I'm sure they'll still be very good, but I have to think it'll be different.
